I don't have a problem with what you said until you got to "back up the rhetoric".
Tennessee and Auburn won the preseason championship.
Aggies weren't even in the running.
Yes Aggie fans like night games also, but bitching about playing at 2:30 is crazy.

CBS speed-dialed Nick and asked what his game time preference was. Nothing to do with Alleva, Kyle Field, etc.

I am curious as to WHY CBS would choose the A&M/Bama game over the LSU/Florida game.
News flash. We don't like football in the daylight down here. The atmosphere is totally different at night and the team feeds off of the emotional intensity of the nocturnal crowd!.................

It doesn't take a genius to figure this out. Texas A&M + Alabama fan base and TV market >>> LSU + Florida fan base and TV market.
There's a reason we don't like day games and I'm so happy this is one that isn't moved.

Since the vast majority of Alabama residents must rely upon rabbit-ear antenna or those antenna that go way up above the roof and as such have no access to cable (ESPN) then the only way to provide them with coverage was to go CBS.

CBS already has Florida in the UGA game in Jville.

Do you even Iron Bowl bro?
Hmm... A&M vs LSU w/a max combined 4 losses or Bama vs an Auburn that will have at least 6-7 losses...
yea, Iron Bowl aint getting CBS this year broham.

LSU/Florida is the better game IMO.
However Bama and A&M will bring bigger ratings, and that's why they picked em.

I know you're new to the conference and all but that's not really how it works.
If both teams were in the toilet then maybe.

Texags.com even posted viewership rankings. LINK
For those talking about overwhelming differences in television viewership, I couldn't help but notice that LSU ranked a spot ahead of A&M in average viewership/ratings in the article linked on TexAgs. Just though I'd point that out.
Now Bama,on the other hand, actually does draw bigger ratings than either LSU or UF.

both are excellent games that week. I was worried they would select LSU/UF. both bama and florida looked good last week, either choice would be more than ideal for CBS, glad they went the way they did. cbs has has been a pain in LSU fan's booties for years, whatever their reasoning is,

I think CBS expects LSU to win. They are expecting the Bama v. aTm game to be closer. I personally think Bama wrecks aTm this year

They might be expecting the Florida-LSU game to play out a lot like Bama-Georgia-- a great All-American running back eventually gets his but only after the game is essentially decided by poor QB play.
That, or its just another stepping stone in the Will Grier darkhorse Heisman run-- first the comeback, then the Flu game, payback against Mizzou followed by a clutch win in Death Valley at night
