So will the Oline. If they know the QB can deliver, they give it extra effort to pass protect and it spills over to the run game. Everyone gains confidence. They have the talent. Now they have the leader.

Told them that too, when the QB wants to freelance like Willie Beamon and turn every down into a broken play it demoralizes the whole team.

I think Mizzous chances are good against Florida this week. I really do. A good practice will help that much more. These players are starting to believe. You could see it in saturdays game.

I completely agree, I've seen nothing from Floridas two wins they squeaked out over UK/UT to make me think we can't go toe to toe with them. I called the USC game a push thinking maybe their D would hit Lock early and shake him up a bit and the OBC might fleece the seams of our secondary, but they didnt have the stuff to get it done.

We'll likely need to cap some more drives with points this time, I doubt there will be any letting the foot of the gas early, but it's a completely winnable game.

Really the offense wasn't that great. Was efficient & conservative.

Lock made 2 TD throws that I don't think Mauk can make.

I don't know how many 3 and outs there were. Wasn't too many.

I thought Lock and the offense did pretty well. Completion percentage was in the 80's right? Thats good for a first start freshman QB. I think if Mizzou wanted to, could have went full press on USCe and drove the score up. It was there. Lock was on.

Actually, I said it back in 2006. But I don't want the credit, either.

You have also told us what a shitty coach GP is for the last two years.

Maybe they'll realize they should listen to me now.

Why would we listen to you? You'd have to be credible for anyone to give a shite about what you say.

I don't really care about credit.

Sure you don't, pal.

There were at least 5 3 and outs. Most of those were the result of super conservative play calling due to bad field position.

Morrison tweeted something along the lines of Mizzou holding a ToP edge in the 4th quarter of 10 minutes to 5. Only giving USCe about 10 plays on the 4th quarter.

I still think our WR are the biggest problem for the team. Lock gives them a better chance, but will it still be a conservative offense or will Henson open it up?

If he does open the offense up the WR will still have a hard time running the correct routes. Two plays against SC I remember that were deep routes and the WR messed up catchable balls.

Lock can make the throws, but can the WR run the routes? That's my question. I think the OL and RB's will be fine.

Agree, my gut says Mauk does not see the field very well. He's too slow delivering the ball.

Ricker and the experienced OL are still on my "watch list" after their terrible starts in 2014 and 2015. We will see what they do against tougher competition going forward.

mubobby even responded to that.

quote:

He did play great
Gameplan was intentionally dialed back. No poor decisions. Not one (the almost pick he just didn't see the guy). Only missed on a few throws all game. Was efficient, poised and smart. Within the confines of that gameplan, he couldn't have played much better.

Ask and you shall receive, SEMO.

LINK

"I wouldn't count on it I don't know for sure, mind you, but I'd be very surprised if Mauk starts another game here. Id be much less surprised if he never plays another down.

Based on what I have heard. If Pinkel has made a decision already then he hasn't told many people or he's made sure they keep their mouth shut."

Wow. Well, it's what I expected after all the smoke, tbh. Still hate it. Hope he gets it together.

IDK man. I've seen the guy break several pieces of recruiting news before it was out anywhere else. He seems pretty legit. I don't think anyone is going to be right all the time. I think some of the dicks on TB ran him off for awhile after the Big 10 thing, but many were wrong on that.
