hey dummy,
we've had a bunch of injuries and bert hasn't had time to establish good depth on the teams. has nothing to do with him not understanding how to create his own winner
3 years isn't enough time to establish depth? Damn..

We need more talent and experience at LB. It seems like we are a couple years away from having that.
We need to play with more discipline (penalties). Bielema's teams have usually been great at that; not sure why we've sucked so bad at that this year.
We need to figure out what exactly the formula is for offensive success - it feels like we are in an experimental phase. Allen has become a better passer this year and Enos has brought more balance, so I'm optimistic that we'll have some good offenses with some great young QB's waiting in the wings. We need to fill our backfield with 4 top quality RB's at all times - RB is crucial to this year's class. We need to do better at setting up our playmakers for big plays.
We need more consistency in our field goal kicking.
In theory I love Bert ball and think it will be successful, but when you have all of the above issues (+ injury bug) then you're looking at what we have right now.

weren't you in a 'rebuilding' phase last season? why does a program like lsu need rebuilding when you've had the same coach for 10 or how many ever seasons now and your recruiting has always been good?
i know you'll say draft, well i'll say injuries in our case.

I think it's a combination of (a) being in a brutal division with teams who just happen to be gellin' right now, and (b) lousy luck.
I'm convinced the pieces are in place to turn things around in Fayetteville;

We've been far more critical of Les Miles than y'all have of Beilema, so I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here.

I honestly think the formula is there. The culture is here. The facilities are apparent. What is it?
This particular year the injuries, lack of talent, and loss of experienced upperclassmen from last year has the team in turmoil.
BB seems like he's just rattling off a bunch of coach speak in his pressers. I hope Jeff Long has the patience to keep BB on because I think the man knows how to coach. And we know Arky can be successful in this division with the right coaching.

i'm not trying to prove anything- i'm just saying some times shite happens and you just have to deal with it.

his first class doesn't count. didn't have time to establish relationships with recruits.
so two classes plus past classes being decimated = our current lack of depth

Yep, since 2011

Not sure turmoil, just cant close games out, and the OOC schedule was a lot tougher than any of us imagined

yep, thats why people tell him to STFU all the time. All that "coach speak"

Jeff Long led the huge buyout clause he has now, fans are the ones needing patience. Long and the BOT are obviously onboard

Arkansas will always have less margin for error than some, but they can be a threat in most years

Over a 3 year and probably longer span though? I wouldn't have the patience for that

I really had noticed 0 at all prior to Toledo, and now it seems like the majority still support him albeit angrily.

well yea, every Arkansas fan should be hoping Bert's master plan bears fruit of success soon
or else we'll be going through this all again and get to blame the next coaches success or lack of success on having to use Bert's recruits

Hugh Freeze inherited one of, if not the worst SEC teams since 2000 and immediately got to a bowl game and began 7-0 in year 3. What's Bert's excuse?

It's Sam Pittman, feel free to send him back

Across every single position, to the point that the team can consistently beat the best of the best within its own division?
Not really.
Four years seems like a good time for his "pre-tenure review," as we say in my field.
At that point, come up with very measurable, short-term goals, and let the guy do his thing.
