But tonight was terrible. Play calling was some of the worst I have ever seen, offensive line was terrible until the late fourth quarter, and our defense struggled to get Vandy off the field. We are lucky to come out with a W and if we play like this at the swamp next week we won't be so lucky

I'm actually excited that we didn't play our best game and won. Wouldn't have been able to say that in the past

Same here. Plus, this is the same Vandy team that gave UGA fits. We need to play alot better next week though.

I agree 100% with POCKET and whoever the 3rd poster in this thread is.

Both post on point.

Obviously would have liked to have a 52-7 dominating game. But this game was a little bit of reality check to Kelly. Can't make those mistakes against other teams. Now we need to focus back up and go get another win in The Swamp.

Sloppy play all around. Over 100 yards in penalties will kill your drives or extend theirs. Vandy's defense is a legit SEC outfit but we have to have better play calling and execution in the red zone.

I have faith in the staff to clean up the stupid penalties and I expect the effort to be much, much better against Florida. We're going to need it.

If you're melting, you didn't watch much football. No one looked that good.

I was so angry that I started texting our stadium incident report system and talked shite to them. Oh well, at least we won. It's a game we very well have shite our pants in in the past

That game was perfect for this coming weekend.

We won and looked awful doing it. Freeze got his teaching point for the week and we're still undefeated.

In retrospect this is a wonderful opportunity to humble the whole team. Chad needs to do better, the defense needs to show why they are landsharks, the offense needs to remember not all defenses are easy to score on, and Freeze needs to quit doing ridiculous crap in the red zone and goal line, I mean 7 opportunities to score a TD from inside the 10...

I don't understand why haven't developed an under-center package solely for QB sneaks. Putting Liggins 4 yards back in shotgun on the one yard line is incompetent

Yeah, and he gets hit 3 yards deep in the backfield and fumbles with one hand on the ball last night. Nothing about that particular play resembled success. Go under center, dive into a gap and get a half yard for heaven's sake. Do that 2 or 3 times and it's mission accomplished.

And Nkemdiche is still our best short yardage/goal line back which makes me sorta giggle. I'm not sure if I like that or not. I'd much rather that role be somebody else's so he could stay on the bench and rest some.

It kills me. All the gimmicks. Coaches out think themselves. We run to the right with Liggins which is our weak side with two RS freshman in Sims and Rawlings. Why not run at Cooper and Patterson and Conyers? No qb sneak in the playbook?

I'll also say Judd is a bust.

If the tool works, use it. Instead, he digs in his toolbox to find something he hardly ever uses, trots it out, then immediately smashes his thumb.

I'm afraid you are right about Judd.
