Explain this to my honkey arse

I don't get the hair but I sure as heck wouldn't say that to him

He would absolutely break off one of my limbs and frick me with it.

Thanks, Roger. I am now officially NOT the only guy to start a "what do the black folk think" thread.

Now I'm no expert, but I believe they're called topknots.
Symbolism & meaning = warrior (think Samurai hair)
Very hipster

TBird be honest do you cringe a little inside when you see threads like this

A) You're an Aggie, so this probably turns you on.
B) He's 6'0, 190 pounds. What on earth about this makes you think he'll break you in half?

Reminds me of Marlon Waynes from Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood.

Been wondering this myself. Thought that might be the reason he hasn't responded.

I'm about 160, and he's an elite athlete with about 8% body fat.

Nah I'm just busy at work most of the time
I don't mind the threads...but Masterag and knight_ryder are probably better "blaxperts" (
Also, I had no clue what to even call those until EKG's post

I think he's just having fun and expressing himself with a goofy hair look. Not sure it requires a blaxpert opinion as it probably has nothing to do with his race.

exactly. young people the world over are usually up to some whack shite.
you know how some of us (me) might look at black youth with their funny clothes and music? well, when i was growing up in the 80s i thought headbangers with greasy arse long hair, earings and bad taste in music were silly.
later on, i wore flanel and grew my hair out and thought nirvana and alice in chains were the shite (i still do kinda)(courtney shot cobain, he didnt kill himself, etc, etc).
go figure.

Unfortunately, my neighborhood has been inundated with hipsters so I know what a top knot looks like and that's not it. Just a kid with a goofy haircut.

Uhhh... dude... tought as in past-tense? Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden & Pearl Jam ARE the shite even if they don't exist anymore! I toy a lot with the idea of getting a job in Seattle, and I'd be lying if it wasn't in part because I still worship those bands and want to live near where they were spawned.
And yes, Courtney killed Kurt. Listen to Hole's "Live Through This" album, which came out right after Kurt died and tell me that's not Kurt's music... there's a reason that was Hole's only critically acclaimed album and also their most successful by far. People in the music biz nearly universally agree that Kurt wrote that for her.

Spot on, I thought the exact same thing

johnny morton was a 6'3" 220 lb all american and nfl wr who ran in the 4.3s.
very quick, powerful individual. he thought he might try fighting, so he trained for several months or more in la before his first fight.
he came out swinging in the first round, his hands where fast, but he looked like someone who had no idea how to throw a punch.
his opponent was some guy from the ivory coast who had a middling record and wasnt anything special(but was a legit fighter), and he knocked johnny mortons arse out in the first round.
LINK
he looks like a girl throwing punches. so dont give bodyfat and athleticism (broad term) more credit than they deserve when it comes to being a badass.
