I only picked these 4 competitive games. (Everyone else is playing a cupcake)

Thursday, Sept. 3
1. South Carolina vs. North Carolina (at Charlotte, NC)

Saturday, Sept. 5
2. Alabama vs. Wisconsin (at Arlington, TX)

3.Auburn vs. Louisville (at Atlanta, GA)

4.Texas A&M vs. Arizona State (at Houston, TX)

I think your order is correct, but USC is the only one that I see losing.

I don't know what to make of the A&M game yet and I wouldn't be surprised to see South Carolina lose game 1

Unless A&M's defense is much improved I think they lose.

Agreed with SC being the only one with the chance of losing

definitely auburn. you have no defensive depth, and petrino's offense can keep up score for score.

ASU has some talent and they will be catching the Aggies early enough that the defense will still be spinning up to speed. I think the Aggies win, but I wouldn't bat an eye if they don't.

UNC vs USCe looks to be a tossup game. I don't think Spurrier gets thumped two season openers in a row though.

I think the Gamecocks squeak out with a W, and the Tide rolls, but I'm picking Arizona State over A&M, and I wouldn't be shocked if Louisville upset Auburn.

I the ASU is a pretty good team. We have not done well against pretty good teams for that last two years. Until proven otherwise, I do not expect the trend to change.

I would say:
1. A&M has 50% chance of losing at best.

2. Auburn v. Petrino is very interesting. But with that talent, I give AU a 35% chance of losing.

3. USCe should soundly thrash the basketball school. 25% chance of losing.

4. Bama is the best team two deep in the nation. 20% chance of losing.

ASU is preseason top 20.

A&M is the unranked underdog. Albeit close to home...

Arizona State is breaking in:

2 new offensive tackles
A new quarterback
3 new wide receivers
2 new linebackers including MLB

Not a good recipe for success when opening against A&M.

Could very well happen. 4th best team we'll play all year.

Common sense says the Bama/Wisconsin is the most competitive game.

The only thing that gives me pause with saying that Bama has the highest chance of losing is that Saban just doesn't lose openers.

Another year, another prediction saying South Carolina will lose their opener. And it's only happened once since Spurrier has gotten here.

We aren't going to lose to UNC. That's my prediction.

aTm
USC
Auburn
Alabama

Arizona state is a good program and no one knows what aTm will do yet.
USC just because I thought they were replacing a good many players at key positions.
I believe Wisconsin is better than they are getting credit for and the game will be closer than some expect. They always have a big OL and good RB. I don't care if they're replacing their QB because apparently that doesn't matter after last year.

I have no idea what to think about Auburn. Conventional wisdom would say there will be growing pains on defense but I think that they may be the team to beat this year. I don't know much about Louisville other than who their head coach is.

Not sure how ASU looks this season, but A&M is the most likely candidate.
