I live in Baton Rouge, if I didn't it would be my pick. I love Baton Rouge it's an awesome town and has a beautiful university.

Since I can't pick the town I currently reside in...my vote goes Oxford. I was there is 2013 when LSU lost and I'll be there this upcoming year. I had the most fun when I went last year for the Egg Bowl, I was wearing a State button down under my jacket and had a desperate measures LSU beanie with me. Lol needless to say I needed it. I got shite for being an LSU fan than wearing state clothing. Still it was extremely fun, got fricking slammed and loved it. I know a good bit of KD's up there so it's always fun to hangout with those sorostitutes. I look forward to going to that away game more than any other this year (I'm going to State, USCe, Bama, OM) so GEAUX TIGERS and let's party OM faithful!

Tell me about your experiences in your favorite college town

I had a really good time in Athens and Lexington...much more fun than I thought they would be. We've already established that Nashville isn't a college town...but I love Broadway and 2nd Ave.

I think we are required to spend the first 10 pages bickering about what constitutes a "college town". Right? Isn't that how this thread works?

Using the phrase "college town" is where this gets dicey.

My favorite city that I've visited for a football game was Columbus, OH. In the SEC it's Baton Rouge or Gainesville. Neither are really college towns, though. Nashville is a no-brainer but I'm not even going to add it to the discussion

Of the true college towns, I'd say my favorite has been Athens.

Houston. There are maybe 7 4 year universites so its about 300K per school so it should fit into college town.

Georgia and Auburn were great. Bama, Florida and Ole Miss were pretty meh for me.

That's all based on personal experiences though. I know you can have fun at any.

I had a blast in Knoxville, but that's cause LSU took over the area I was at and we just had a blast. Same with South Carolina.

Auburn. It has a very nice cow tipping scene.

Athens has been my favorite trip so far. I've been to about half of the campuses.
