Glass would hit and Jackson would answer. What a game this was.

I was a high school Junior when this took place. Still the greatest basketball game I've ever watched. At that time I loved Glass and OM, and my best friend was a huge Chris Jackson, he was from Gulfport, fan. We'd argue non stop on who was better. Good times.

I remember that game. Great memory. A year or two later I remember Robert Horry being assigned to guard Shaq - seems outrageous now.

I used to love to watch Chris wave off teammates and break a 1-on-4 full court press all by himself. His ballhandling skills were amazing.

TNP,
Not sure of you're age, and I may be showing mine, but as a little kid I remember Johnny Neumann of Ole Miss, LSU's Pistol Pete, Travis Grant from WKU I think, and Dwight 'Bo' Lamar from USL.
The Pistol was my idol. But you know I don't really remember if Neumann ever played against him?

I was a Jr in High School. Out on a double date with my best friend and our two girlfriends. Got a 12-pack of beer and parked at the end of Quail Run in Eastover (Jackson) and drank beer with the radio on listening to the entire game.

Then went out to WC Don's to listen to Will and the Bushmen on stage.

Good times. Good times.

There are a lot of freak athletes playing college basketball these days, but I think the teams from the 80's and early 90's would crush most of today's good teams. The basketball skill level of some of the guys from that era was off the charts.

Glass did not miss when he had an open look and if he got position inside it was an automatic 2.

At times, Jackson was literally unguardable. He could get a look anytime he wanted and if he didn't, he would just hit a shot with 2-3 guys in his face.

Today you have guys that whey they get a mid-range look they couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat

Both were great players.

Gerald Glass was smooth.

I was a junior in high school and went up to Ole Miss for South Seas, I think. A buddy of mine got us tickets at the top of the arena. the best game I've ever been to even though LSU lost. I'll never forget it!
