There's definitely a superior motive here other than making people aware of veterans with PTSD.

It is not like this "Service Dog" was leading a blind person or fetching objects to a wheelchair bound person. It is my understanding these dogs provide a calming influence and sense of security to someone who has trouble interacting in public.
If I were to decide who was the largest breaker of societal rules a person who needs a dog in public or two guys who have never caused trouble before I would bet on the person with the dog.

I don't think this has anything to do with football fandom. You can look at her previous posts on fb and twitter, and tell she's just one of those types that's gonna make her opinions very well known. We'll just call her very outspoken.
If this keeps going on, I retract my previous statement about letting it go. She already has the service dog groups on a witch hunt. If needed, get a statement from witnesses around and put out a full report. Can't let someone crucify the whole university based off of what a woman with PTSD said happened without corroboration from witnesses when it was obviously seen by many.

Not a service dog, a therapy dog. Big difference. The story does not fit.

This girls crazy sister would be solid for a WYHI thread. Saw her instagram response to Andrew WIlliams

This. Service dogs must be marked appropriately. As someone else has previously stated, therapy animals do not have the same sort of protections that a service animal does.

From some of the stuff I have read she is getting a check and the dog from the gov already, and more weird stuff about her just don't think I better post it.

Does no one else notice the coincidental association Auburn has to current "topics of interest in the public eye" that enables the media to negatively smear the football programs name?
The trial for the murder of Chris Kyle is going on as we speak, as most here probably know. It has almost everyone's attention, mainly due to the recent release of American Sniper (great movie by the way). I'll be honest, I didnt know shite about PTSD until i watched the movie and realized Kyle was killed at the end. I then googled to see wtf happened and read all about the events that took place that day. The movie and trial has increased the public awareness of PTSD and what it can do to those who serve due to the the defendants insanity claim he said was brought on from PTSD.
It just seems way to damn convenient for Auburn football players to be tied up in some he said she said bullshite that can correlate with something the entire nation is following at the present time. It is also ridiculous for the media to follow up on it with a story about it, especially with the media's only source in the article was someone that wasn't even there to witness it. Seems more like a propaganda machine at work if you ask me.

Let's not get going in that direction. Stick to what has been stated by both sides and go from there.

I see now the sister has deleted all of the fb posts about this, as well as her twitter altogether. Seems like this situation snowballed more than they thought it would.

Guys, I'm afraid I'm going to have to tell you something shocking...
The Never To Yield Foundation fricking *nailed* it.

No matter what you believe happened, this was a minor incident. Even if the players did use profanity as they walked away, it remains a minor incident. In the pre-social media days this entire incident would have been handled by the alleged victim contacting the school, by the administration having the players apologize, and by tacking on a little discipline and maybe a talk on how to behave around people with service animals. That would have been the end of it.
It would not have become a platform for people to shout to the rafters and seek the support of country music artists to rally to a cause that — let’s be honest — really doesn’t exist.
The players tried to pet a dog. The owner didn’t like it. They exchanged words. There was no need to push the nuclear option button on Twitter.
That’s what this society has become. We are instant reactionaries, intent on seeking public retribution for the smallest of offenses. People can’t disagree. People can’t have words with each other without someone making it into a national incident. The molehills of simple grievances are made into mountains. Outrage for the sake of outrage is the norm. It’s not a good thing.

Their arguments are solid
Their melodramatic writing style
At the end of the day it is a game and an average regional state university, their writing style is fitting for revolution.

Back in the late 90s when I was at Auburn, there was a kid in a wheelchair with a service dog to tote all his books and he treated that dog like shite. One day I saw the kid hit the dog with some kind of lash thing and I grabbed his arm and chewed his arse about it. Half of the people watching knew I did the right thing and the other half damn near lynched me.

I remember that guy. Always had classes in Lowder.
