Could be wrong, but I've felt really confident with him.

I think most Auburn fans getting their hopes up for him will be let down. Been a crazy day, though. We'll see.

Regardless, he is clearly re-evaluating his options. Have to think UGA is in the best shape here but A&M may pull it off. Being an OLB behind a DL with Garrett and Mack on it has to be appealing and the kid kept saying he "wanted to do something different" that would seem to indicate he wanted to leave home.

Does he just want to sleep on it and sign in the morning, or is it now a free-for-all?

Smith has yet to confirm what teams are still involved

I just think it's so late in the process, if he wasn't seriously considering A&M before, he won't now. It's down to 2 schools and I think it's going to stay that way.

No doubt...y'all have had a good day. I think the let down would be more from UGA getting him than Auburn not getting him. Y'all seem to delight in our demise much more than others, and would absolutely love the melt that would take place on the Georgia board. You especially, I'm sure.

I'm not, really, but with Sumlin, our facilities, and a current MLB situation that would likely give him playing time sooner, it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

The offer from the Falcons came in before today. Intentionally withholding that info from recruits is a tPOS move.
Yeah that's fricked up. At least he's a badass player that has a plethora of options.

If Jeff Ulbrich is his mentor & the guy who's the reason he was going to UCLA for in the 1st place, this works out great for Smith if he goes to UGA...

Flowery Branch & the Falcons facility is only a 30-40 minute drive from Athens

He is probably a UGA lock, but damn!!! We need that kid in a bad way. Congrats though, Dawgs.

He would be in our 4 man rotation from day one.

Do you even Mastrogiovanni, Bro? If he could get 10-15 lbs on, he could start. That's how big of a shite sandwich we have at LB right now.

If I had 100 points and had to divide them between those two reasons, I would award all 100 points to him seeming like he wants to leave home.

I know you're happy about Mack, but there's no way another recruit sees that and then begins seriously considering A&M. Plus, we got TT. Our DL is going to be stout.

There was a rumor he reached out to A&M. That's the only reason any of us are mildly optimistic
