Muschamp rumored for DC. Quinn owes him a hire. "Hard Knocks" wants to do a mulligan.

I like Quinn, but not sold on Shananagan.
Not saying he won't work out, but his stretch zone running game doesn't seem best suited for Ryan, plus I still think he's living off of daddy's resume.

Not trying to be a negative ned but we just hired someone that's still living off of daddy's resume. Like eveyone told me give the guy a chance.

Yeah, as I said, not saying it won't work out, but in both cases there is just no separating them from their dads. It's their cross to bear in certain respects regardless of their abilities.

If it meant a Superbowl, I could live with this.

This. I'm willing to go thru a couple of lean years, watch some of these guys grow up, and then go on another run. The next couple of years were going to be bad whether or not these moves were made. Now there is hope for 2017 and beyond.
I didn't realize how bare the cupboard was in the farm system under Wren. This is inexcusable. The Braves of the 90s and beyond were built under Turner/Kasten/Shurholtz via the farm system, then supplemented with trades and free agency.

Shurholtz almost killed the system with the Tex trade.

I thought he did a really good job in Cleveland last season considering what he had to work with. Their offense never recovered when Alex Mack broke his leg. We are going to need to improve the offensive line to really make his offense work, but I think he'll find a way to build the offense around the talents of the players like he did in Cleveland.

Eh, it's a decent hire but not an overwhelming one. I understand he's not someone who is regarded as an offensive guru, but he's also not someone who deserves the "WTF are they thinking" reaction.

No doubt they got their arse handed to em vs Carolina but up til then I thought they had shown some very good improvementl.
Think it'll be a strong point next year with some of the injured guys coming back with Stone and Schraeder gaining some valuable experience this year.

Pretty much my definition of not being sold on the guy. I'm not bitchin, just have my reservations.

I hear ya, I will admit I am a little skeptical as well especially with our situation at RB since Shanahan likes to run. The Falcons are likely to let Rodgers walk and Stephen Jackson could very well be cut to save cap space. I like Freeman as a change of pace back, but still I feel like we will need to draft or sign another RB in the near future because Jackson looks cooked.

The good thing about that offense is that it can turn a pedestrian RB into a stud.
See TD and Foster. Could be that some good RBs drop to them in later rounds since the league doesn't draft RBs in the first round anymore.

I think Quinn is a solid hire but Shanahan I'm not sold on just yet.
