Yeah Mills and Fromm looked wayyy better than Hockman did this year. And Vox I want Lawrence in the red&black badly but he said Clemson leads UT right now. We weren't even a mention. It seems our staff dropped the ball big time on offering him. We were way late in comparison to the others. And he's a UT lean due to family...at least from what has been said on here.

Fromm is a damn stud. Maybe Smart can convince him he will never play a down in Kiffins system. (Freshwater will be gone by then)

I'd love to keep Hockman because the kid has a ton of talent, but I think a lot of us have mentioned that we weren't overly impressed by him this year. He makes some throws that make you say "wow", but to me he definitely didn't look like a top 100 recruit. All that being said, with him getting time to develop behind Eason as the starter, Hockman could turn into a hell of a player.

Let me remind everyone Trevor Lawrence still has 2 1/2 years left in high school. A lot can happen with coaching changes between now and then. Who knows what Kirby can build here in the next 2 years. We obviously don't look appealing to QB recruits with our situation these last 2 seasons but I bet if Eason comes in and does what we all expect him to UGA will begin looking a lot more appealing to QB's. JMHO

5* Richard Lecounte of Liberty Count commits

Big swings of emotions this weekend for Richard. For some reason he was not invited to the recruiting thing this weekend and he got so pissed that his dad called to basically tell them that Georgia had probably lost him. Didn't take long for every coach on the staff to personally call and apologize. Apparently it worked.

If that's true, then I hate the way the commitment went down. Not his or his dad's place to do that.

I also don't think that's exactly what happened.

I was at dawg night this year and had no idea who Trevor Lawrence was but he was just as impressive at Eason that night. Hockman on the other hand wasn't impressive at all. I've never actually watched hockman play any real football but after that night, it was hard to get excited about him.

How is it not? He's had his feelings hurt with us ignoring him before and he felt it seemed to be happening again.

Then why don't you fill me in since you seem to be more in tune with a guy that I'm a hell of a lot close to than you are.

Someone from BOL on 247 Bama 247 Crew just posted that Fromm might be fixing to decommit. Could be pandering....or maybe something in the works.

In other news:

- Deangelo Gibbs tells Rivals that this weekend was the "Best [visit] I've been on in a while."

- WR Kiel Pollard of Colquitt Co (Arky commit) was just bumped up to a 4* by Scout.

Nvm..rawdawg posted it on the previous page...

Also, Schumann went and had an in-home with Mack Wilson last night.

And Paul Maharry put up a pic of Ben Davis and Mack Wilson together at the AL-Miss Allstar game and stated that it is a strong possibility they end up at UGA together.

So he got his feelings hurt bad enough for his Dad to call the coaches and threaten to not consider UGA. The coaches call and apologize. Now he is as solid a 2017 commit as you can hope for, ready to recruit for us and everything? I'm not saying you're lying about what you heard, but all of that is so over the top.

Even if it is true, makes him seem so fragile that a commitment at this point doesn't mean that much to me.

Like do I feel good about it or do I want it to happen? Because the answer to both is Yes.

How likely do you think it is?

I really don't want to lose him, he looked like a stud this year.

From Houston County (huge UGA territory), grew up a big UGA fan, and Kirby was one of his recruiters at Bama (the other, Kiffin, is rumored to be gone with the wind after this season).

I think it's pretty likely.
