We had the ball with a chance to tie the ball game with 1:50 left to play. That's do-able. Both teams made a lot of mistakes. Was it so clear that OSU was the better team? We didn't excute when it counted and that sucks, but the teams seemed pretty even to me. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'm over it. We won the SEC and went 12-2 with a QB that no one gave us a chance to win 9 with.

I've thought this but we didn't dominate the season. Just a lesser talented team than what we are used to. Good solid bunch with some studs. Just not at the right positions.

It's 1 game. Doesn't decided our fate forever. Learn from your mistakes and let it eat at you. Have to finish and I think that will come easier with a more complete team in the future.

Agreed. Much respect to Blake for taking us as far as he did.

We overachieved this year. If Blake even plays average we win that game. However, Oregon would rape us and I expect them to rape OS.

I've moved on as well. But you said it: they executed better. They were the better team last night and you have to tip your cap to em.

Don't get me wrong I'm very proud of this team and all they have accomplished. Blake Sims made me look foolish with his play this year. I never saw it coming. I'm just talking about OSU being a better team then us. I posted on here last night that they were, but seeing it this morning with a clear mind, I don't know if I buy that. They certainly played better, no doubt about that. We lost this game in the second quarter and we were never able to regain control. I'm also not 100% sold Oregon rapes our bholes as has been posted over and over. They would probably win, probably be favored, but they wouldn't blow us out. When's the last time a NS coached team got blown out?

All and all, I'm rambling. It was a good season and I'm excited for the next one. Roll Tide fellas.

I don't see a meltdown, just frustration. That comes from losing due to issues we just can't seem solve, like the 3rd and Longs. Its also frustrating to see a team like our's lose our composure during the middle part of the game. As soon as OSU started to get momentum, we just completely tightened up. Frustration from knowing that some poor decisions form coaches and players made the mountain to climb a little tougher.

OSU was as solid of a team that we have played in a long time. At times last night, they were whipping us as bad as we have been in years....but even though we played as poorly as we had all year, we still could've won.

When the score got to 21-6, I was thinking we could beat Oregon. I don't thing the battered & exposed Alabama team I saw at the end could've.

We probably beat OSU 6/10. Didn't perform well enough last night. They did.

shite man, I am happy with our season. Any time beat our rivals, win the SEC Championship, and have a shot to win at all its a good season.

Hopefully people are starting to realize how hard/unlikely it is to win an NC in any given year. I feel like a lot of Bama fans take the ones we have won since Saban has been here for granted.

Yep.. which shows the fight this years team had and why I really enjoyed the season overall.

To me it was.. for this one day anyhow. OSU's offensive line manhandled our defensive line for the most part it seemed to me. I have to give the playcalling advantage to OSU yesterday as well. They just came out a much better prepared team and had more hunger it seemed. No shame in losing though. Sometimes you're the dog, yesterday, we were the milkbone. Doesn't diminish a record breaking 7th straight season with 10 wins or more.. and our 6th 11+ win season in the last 7 yrs.

I thought coming into the game that both teams matched up well, but yeah, it was clear that OSU was the better team last night.

I disagree. We just weren't that good this year, especially on defense.

Oregon would destroy our defense.

Yes, we are. It's not like we got our asses handed to us like Ole Miss did.
Even getting out gained and lost the turnover battle, we were a long pass completion from sending the game to OT.
We've got a nice SEC championship and wins over the big rivals.
2014 season was a success.

What I took from the game

Pretty evenly matched teams
Explosive plays once again killed the Tide
Fml run the fricking ball

By the end of the game, about 95% of my section had yelled "RUN THE frickING BALL" at least once. Only saw 2 people after the game who made asses of themselves. Every conversation I heard was about how proud they were and how fun the season was.

Oh and OSU fans are a weird bunch
