The fumble that wasn't

First, I doubt it would have changed the outcome. We were outclassed and Bama definitely deserved to win.
However, how in the hell was that not reviewed? You at least have to look at that, and finally seeing it on TV it was very obviously a fumble. I'm also going to give our players some blame because they had to know that ball was out before the whistle and I didn't see any of them pleading with GP to challenge.
Again, not saying it would have changed the outcome but it was huge at the time it happened. We would have had decent field position and even if we didn't get points, we likely could have went into the half with Bama still at 14.

The meltdown that destroyed Missouri

From what they were saying, it was blown dead and thus not reviewable

From the tread title - I thought this was about the last turnover in the Arkansas/Mizzou game. My bad - carry on.

I don't think that's correct. Like I said, when I finally got to see it on TV it was very clear that the ball was out well before the whistle.
I'm nearly certain that it is reviewable. They just chose not to, but again we should have challenged if the booth was not going to do their job.

Watching live I knew it wasn't a fumble. Review would have upheld the call on the field. What makes you think it was a fumble? Whistles are always after officials start waving arms and marking spots.

Who's "they"? You may want to go tell "they" that they're wrong. During the game CBS showed a replay where you clearly hear the whistle after the ball is out and on the ground.
Does not change the outcome as OP said, just another sad example of what passes for refs in the SEC.

What? It was very obviously a fumble. The whistle was at least a full second after the ball was already on the ground.

The whistle is irrelevant. Fowler's forward progress was stopped and he was forced backward not of his own volition.
No matter when the whistle blew, the play was over when progress stopped. Replay would have upheld the call on the field.

Forward Progress was called, and you can't review forward progress calls. Otherwise, why bother tackling, just gang up and carry the running back all the way into the endzone for a safety.

You're not playing Bama unless you're playing the refs too. A no call on a blatant facemask was directly responsible for 7 Bama points in the Ole Miss game. That's SEC football. If you wanna beat Bama you better play much better than them.

We didn't get beat 42-38. We got beat 42-13. You talked mountains of shite in the run up to the game. Now you've created a ref bitch thread 24 hours later. Just eat crow.

Nope. Forward progress was not only stopped but being pushed backwards. Discuss the pick play or push offs if we are going to get nitpickie.

Mizzou bitching about a fumble that wasn't?
My how things change in a week.

Announcers said that the officials ruled that his forward progress was stopped and that isn't reviewable.
I was at the game, but if I hadn't watched the replay today, I would have no idea what play you're talking about.
