Considering the next most logical spot is New Orleans, and most LSU fans agree with Atlanta, should tell you something.

ATL is the best location. That being said, it will be overkill in years where the semifinal game is there also, and the SEC champ ends up having to play there twice.

Dallas should never and will never be given the SECCG. There isn't a worse place in the footprint aside from Legion.

Get the frick over it. You don't just get to walk into a conference and start demanding we change things to better fit you in year 3.

Besides, it's not like it's going to be much of a problem for you in the future with Florida and Tennessee back on the rise. Between them and Georgia, Mizzou will likely never sniff the SECCG again after these last two fluke years.

Put me in the "Championship game rotates" group. I'm all for a little variety.

And I'm on you rantards side about that baseball thingy in Hoover every year.

Obviously it's staying in Atl, but NOLA is 10x more fun for a big event than Atl.

I agree in that I'd rather go to hell than the ATL but there are some things to remember.

Approx 30,000 SECCG tix are like me, auto renewals. When we bought tix for the first one in 92 you were automatically guaranteed from then on if you bought from the SEC. LP in Nashville only seats 69K so there would less tix available to general public. Also, nobody including me wanted to sit outside at Legion in December and I sure as heck don't want to sit outside in Nashville in Dec. You need a stadium that seats at least 76K to keep things like they are.
No Houston. Not in the southeast. I know teams are outside the SEC now but we don't have to move events to those locations. At least keep our events in the SEC.
I say:
Atlanta
New Orleans
Orlando

Bottom line, it ain't going anywhere. B'ham and ATL are geographically centered and ATL runs the southeast anyway. It ain't going anywhere as long as we are alive I'm afraid.

It should be rotated between Kansas City and St. Louis each year.

Aww this is cute.

The honeymoon is over and you don't feel like the new girlfriend anymore. All that fawning for attention and celebration when you got invited in, then you realized the SEC will operate as it has and not much changes because of you except our revenue streams.

aTm thinking SEC should rotate to Jerry World

Missouri has a valid point. It needs to move more to the West.

After all, they won the East for the past two years.

What has GA, SC, FL, TN, KY and Vandy done?

The conference has outgrown using the Georgia Dome as a single location.

You now have 3 teams west of the Mississippi River in your conference. You've had Yankees in your championship game for 2 straight years, and who knows when, if ever, that streak will end.

The ATL is just not the right permanent venue anymore.

Time so start thinking Nashville, N'awlins, Houston, etc.

I know there's some degree of tradition associated with playing it in the ATL. But when you add expansion teams, by definition they don't give a frick about tradition cuz they weren't part of it. You wanted to cover a larger geographic area. You do now. Gotta take advantage of that. Move that shite around, SEC. Your heart will say no. But use your head. You know what to do.
