I've loaned a friend $2000 before. I did it because he's like a brother to me and he really needed it. He paid me back over the course of 3 months.

$500. My brother had a disturbing the peace or public intoxication or something in college. Turns out his fine was like $150, but he used the other $350 pretty quick when he had to post bail for a DUI a couple weeks later.
Yeah, he's kind of a dumb arse.

1,200 dollars, because the guy needed it to make a deadline or it was gonna cost him around 10k.
Loaned it on 25% interest. He paid me 1500 5 days later.

$4500
Long time buddy.. He paid it all back I think. Took him a few years and he would send a few hundred every month.
Never had to ask him to send anything, he just sent what he could until I told him he had sent enough and we were square. I wasn't keeping an exact running total, but once I figured he had paid back somewhere close, I said that's good enough.

About 200-300 dollars to a close friend.
Not gonna say why because it was a very private situation. Got paid back in full, thankfully.

Loaned my ex that I dated for roughly 2 years $2,000 so that he could pay off his remaining bill at Butler U and transfer to UofL. Needless to say it didn't get paid back.

Probably 100 bucks, spotting them till they got paid.
Was gonna loan around 4-5 grand a few months back to help purchase a small business from a friend. Fell through because no one could move closer to the location in Alpharetta.

Lent my bro $60k for a down payment on a house 5 years ago.
Haven't seen a dime. Didn't expect to. He's got his shite together and started a family, and that's good enough for me.
I figure walking in the house and getting hugs from my nieces more than make up for it.
He knows he owes me though, and someday Remote will come asking for a '62 Fender Strat.
That bitch had better be gift wrapped.
Yeah, that'll never happen.

I have loaned hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of my life
to the bank/credit union.
Why? Because cash is flammable and easy to steal.
