LSU-Bama statistical comparison so far this century.

Bama was able to have one of the greatest four year stretches in CFB history winning 3 BCSNC from 2009-2012.
LSU has been, arguably, the most successful and consistent program in CFB so far this century.
I was surprised to find that LSU still leads Bama in nearly all categories in a head-to-head statistical comparison:
Head-to-head: LSU 9 Bama 6
Total Wins: LSU 143 Bama 104
Vacated Wins: LSU 0 Bama 21 (academic $candal)
10 win seasons: LSU 9 Bama 7
Losing Seasons: LSU 0 Bama 5
SEC Titles: LSU 4 Bama 2
Bowl Record: LSU 9-5 Bama 6-5 (1 vacated)
BCS Bowls: LSU 2-0 Bama 0-2
BCSNC Games: LSU 2-1 Bama 3-0
Iron Bowl: AU 9 Bama 5
LSU- AU: LSU 9 AU 5
Bama has 3 BCSNC Titles, but is still far behind LSU in all the other categories listed.
I would like to ask Bama fans if, hypothetically, they would trade the success of the 2009-2012 BCS Titles for the more consistent success of LSU? You would ,essentially, be giving up 1 NC and erasing the nasty losing seasons, vacated wins, and losing record in the Iron Bowl.
The reason I ask, is because I have been told that nothing is more important to Bama fans than a NC and just wanted to put this theory to the test here on the secrant.
For other SEC fans, which program do you think has been more impressive so far this century?

No

Hell no, I would not trade, although I like CLM a lot. Which one would we have to give up, 21-0? I think I see what you did there.

You want us to say LSU right?

no thanks

Plus, unlike some schools, we have a storied history at the University of Alabama which predates 2000.

I think if you asked the exact same question, and made it so where Saban was still their coach, it would make it more interesting.

While I really hated the down years early in the century, they made those titles taste that much sweeter.
So, no, wouldn't trade.

Sure it would, if the question was not restricted on the consistency issue. But no self-respecting Alabama fan is going to give up one of our seventy one national championships. Not sure if serious.
BayouBengal, you are a pretty good poster. If LSU fans were given the same trade on the same terms? Well?

this century.

That kills me every time I see it.
And the only people who ever say it are LSU fans.

I asked the question "hypothetically" assuming that everyone would understand I meant on the consistency versus 1 more NC.

Bama posters are already proving the theory to be correct.
For most of us the most important events of our lives include weddings, graduations and the birth of our children. For Bama fans all of these things are secondary compared to winning a NC.

The disparity in Bama fan opinion of using the century mark vs talking about an obscure length of history (already done in this thread), is predictable, yet so ironic.
You needed 4 emoticons to display your disgust with the century time line, yet you undoubtedly row tied the reference to the rich history of Bama. And I'm sure you love starting in 2008 to display the greatness of Saban and Bama. Don't you see what we see when you do this?

And LSU fans wonder why they get teased for thinking football was established there in 2000.
Ya'll are doing just fine. You'll never be Alabama though, ya'll just gotta live with that.

Bama would probably still be irrelevant if LSU hadn't hired Saban. The fanbase lived vicariously off the success of teams that played before most posters here were born outside of 1996 until our former coach gave them hope. Order will be restored this weekend.

Your gump logic of praising the 2008-present span is so much more arbitrary. Such a pathetic attempt to perpetuate this double standard is SOP for you people.
Yes, looking at periods of time is intended to highlight an Era of success. Bama laughing at this is the epitome of hypocrisy.

Those who tease only prove their ignorance of CFB history. LSU was a top 10-15 program before little Nicholas Saban ever stepped foot on campus.

Thanks, I wasn't alive when Bama won most of those NC's in the 1920's - 1970's. I don't live in the past.

If LSU had never hired Saban there's a strong chance Alabama would indeed still be a has-been.
LSU would be a never was.
LSU would be a never was.

Sorry... you'll have to forgive us for not believing that looking at our program's success comparative to LSU while we had Mike DuBose, Dennis Franchione, and Mike Shula is a relevant measuring stick.
