I think the 5 losing seasons are forgotten. I'm an LSU fan and would love 3 national titles in 4 years. How many teams can claim that?

So I would take 5 losing seasons to win 3 national titles especially if it included a 21-0 beat down of Bama.

Shouldn't every program want to win the National Championship every year? Does Toyota want to sell more cars than Honda every year or just sometimes? All the strong college football teams through history go through strong times and weak times. The facts are that through history Alabama has had fewer down years and fewer mediocre years than most if not all other programs. The other truth is they have done a much better job of maximizing their success when they have been good enough to win, through championships both National and the SEC.

Considering the number of dubious titles on both sides I'd probably take what alabama has done simply for 2009.

2001 (7-5)
2002 (10-3)
2003 (4-9)*
2004 (6-6)
2005 (10-2)
2006 (6-7)*
2007 (7-6)
2008 (12-2)
2009 (14-0)
2010 (10-3)
2011 (12-1)
2012 (13-1)
2013 (10-2)

No. Bamas 4 year dynasty will be talked about for a lot longer than LSU's consistent 15 years

Thats' five Bubba...you can count them on one hand.

FIFY...Glad I could help.

You can't erase the ugly history of cheating by Bama.
Hard as you might try.
I know, I know, You don't ccurrrrr, it's the NC's that matter.
Funny thing is, this entire post was made to prove a point I already knew.

I'll go run my faucet now to see if water is still wet.

What is so funny about LSU being the most consistent and most successful program in all of CFB so far this century?

Why does this bother people so much?

Are you an LSU fan?
Would you really trade 1 more NC for that cult-like cesspool in Tuscaloosa?

Here's a statistic for you: The leading cause of death is life.

The red team has everything to lose.

Of course, but I would rather not have to live through a period like LSU had for most of the 90's and Bama had earlier this century. I'm ultra competitive IRL and can't stand losing more than I like winning. I think all Bama fans are obsessed with winning NC's more than having a clean, consistent winner. This thread only confirms That.

It's odd that you would ask this question considering I recently invested in LEAP call options on Ford.
I would prefer Ford to have strong steady sales growth and be a market leader over the next 10 years than a boom and bust company that has the most recalls and highly fluctuating sales results.

Thanks for helping me illustrate my point.

Evidently you missed the point. I assure you that what Ford wants is to consistently sell more vehicles than the competition. They want to sell the most every year, just like every other company or team. By the way Alabama has the best of both worlds they have the most championships and they have been a consistent winner. They have not won all the time know but they have more good years than everyone else, more great years than everyone else and less bad years than everyone else.

Few hours from now this proposition can be framed in a completely different narrative.
