Not that far-fetched that West could have 5 teams tie for first.

Here's what would have to happen:
(1) LSU beats Bama in Tiger Stadium and wins out.
(2) Auburn loses to Bama but wins all others.
(3) Miss. State loses to Bama and then loses to Ole Miss in Egg Bowl.
(4) Bama wins out after losing to LSU.
(5) Ole Miss beats Arkansas and Miss. State.
Could happen. LSU is playing well lately and game against Bama is in Tiger Stadium. The home team in the Egg Bowl always has a huge advantage, you never know what will happen in that game, and Ole Miss will be playing its "playoff" after being knocked out of contention by Auburn. All teams would be 6-2. Not likely, but not impossible either. None of these scenarios would be shocking.

They'll have a late lead on Ole Miss but frick it up somehow and lose. Because Bert is fat.

Its actually pretty possible. I bet the only ones that are Vegas dogs are Lsu beating Bama and Ole Miss beating Miss State.
Would be funny if the SECCG was between 2 2 loss teams and the winner got shut out.

How about:
1. Bama loses LSU, beats State & Auburn
2. Auburn loses to Georgia and Bama
3. State loses to Bama and Ole Miss
4. LSU beats Bama, loses to Arkie (no chance they lose to A&M)
5. Ole Miss wins out over Arkie and State
3 way tie with Ole Miss, Alabama and State -- Ole Miss goes to Atlanta with head to head tiebreaker

Well, it's just really interesting. I can't remember any season when five teams still had a shot this late in the year. Bizarre. Never known this kind of parity before. And if A&M had lived up to the hot, might be even stranger.

Louisiana isn't grasping for straws because every west team has a crucial contributor from the state of Louisiana. I love that my state always wins when an sec west team wins.

not really, just crazy how much different the landscape of the SEC west is after the last two weeks. I'd gladly take a 9-3 season and a decent bowl game after the start to the season. Could have been a lot worse after the Auburn beat down
