I think Ole Miss field turf is a legitimate concern

This isn't a troll. I don't understand why a school in the delta wouldn't grow their own grass.

I'm not sure if Drakes injury can be blamed on the OM field

Or cooks their own tailgate food...

Their stadium is too big, not enough sunlight to support a healthy lawn.

It didn't help- studies I was looking said more lower extremity injuries bc the surface grips more

We're not in the Delta, we're in the Hill Country, and I completely agree.

That same question was asked after the Drake injury and didn't get much play. Wonder if now one of their own got hurt similarly to Drake they will take a closer look at the turf. No way it doesn't have an impact greater than a natural field on the players bodies.

Their grass got herpes a few years ago and had to be removed.

Don't think a different turf could have prevented last night's injury. Just a freak accident.

They're supposed to be experts at growing grass I don't get it either. They practice on it more than anybody so their players get used to it. I feel they keep it knowing the potential for injury is larger for the other team. Maybe now they will reconsider.

BS. Last nights injury was because of the tackle.

I thought Bama was being Bama
I looked up a few studies it seems more dangerous

I would assume turf management has everything to do with them having that stuff. The ground doesn't give like real grass/dirt do. I'm glad Auburn has a lot of capital to invest in our surface playing bc I think we have one the best looking fields in the country.

1) We're not in the delta
2) when a 200lb man falls directly on your ankle like that, you're gonna need a lot more give than the ground is ever going to allow.

I've seen players drug down from behind all season, happened @State/AU as well. On natural surfaces the grass will not torque a leg like artificial turf. The shits rubber based. It's going to grip much better. What do you use to open a jar you can't open, something plastic/rubber based or something grass based.
