TSIO or magnolia bowl? What you got? Please do not answer if you are a fan of one of the 4 schools mentioned.
I am also not trying to say that OM-LSU is better than TSIO, but rather trying to see what the SECr thinks of these games.
Nb4lsuhasnorivals, I get it, I don't care.

Historically, Bama - Tenn.
I actually did not know LSU - OM was a big rivalry game until we joined the SEC. I figured they were rivals just by way of being in the same division, but I never equated it to Bama - Tenn or Auburn - Georgia.

TSIO, in my opinion. Two traditional powerhouse teams duking it out, regardless of the fact that Tennessee has been down as of late.

Right now? Magnolia bowl. I haven't watched the Alabama Tennessee game in like ten years.

I think it's much more of a cultural thing with Ole Miss-LSU. If Ole Miss had kept up their end of the bargain this would be one of the best rivalries in the sport.

Historically it's TSIO

No offense but that just means you're probably less than 50 years old. Any football fan born prior to 1970 would know that OM vs LSU was a helluva rivalry for decades.

I'd say that most of us around here are less than 50.

90% of the time- UT vs Bama
This year- OM vs LSU, if only to watch OM get humbled

Fair enough, and yes I am < 50. But if you have to start an argument as to why a rivalry is good with "if you were >50" well...

Looks like LSU has left the "no rival" club

Bama-Tenn. Does many outside of the OM and LSU fanbases even know that it used to be a huge rivalry? LSU and Ole Miss don't always play on the Saturday before Halloween anymore either.

Eh, I like our "no rival" status. I just get to dislike everybody equally that way.

bammer-UT by a mile.
You would have to go back to Johnny Vaught vs. Paul Dietzel for OM-LSU to be even close.

There is no argument. LSU and OM have hated one another for decades, far beyond the normal flow of grudging respect for conference foes. For much of the past 3 decades, it was rare for both teams to be contenders, largely due to the decline of Rebel football after the 70's, though LSU had a couple of dry spells along the line. If OM sustains several years of being a contender along with LSU, we may well see the national public ranting about the rivalry once again.

Am also under 50 and also didn't even know Ole Miss and LSU was a "rivalry". Both teams are pretty mediocre historically, so maybe that has something to do with it. There is never really anything at stake.

I didn't know OM and LSU were rivals either. I thought MSU was their rivalry?
Historically, Ole Miss is the SEC's a-hole. They suck dick for decades and then manage a good season or two. Rinse and repeat.
