From the Bama Board:
Instead of the tiebreaker being based on the BCS rankings, it is now based on the total wins for your scheduled opponents from the East. At this point, if State, Ole Miss, and Bama all finish with one loss, Bama would most likely go by the changes made to the rules during the offseason.
We know one of them will have a loss from the egg bowl and chances are good, with this being the SEC, another will drop a another game.
REC doin work
Love having the SEC office in Birmingham.

Both OM and Miss St. play Vandy.
Both Bama and OM play UT.
Bama plays UF while Miss St. plays UK. We just have to hope that UT + UF > UK + Vandy and UT + UF > Vandy + UT
So, UF has to be > than UK because we know that, pending a major implosion, UF will be better than Vandy.
Being conservative, let's say...
Vandy wins zero SEC games,
UT pulls off one SEC win ( Vandy)
UF wins three SEC games (UT, UK, Vandy)
UK wins three SEC games (Vandy, USCe, and UT)
That would give our opponents 4 wins, Miss St.'s opponents 3 wins, and OM's opponents 1 win.
In other words, as long as Vandy continues to tank we are good.

If Auburn wins out and Ole miss beats state, then Auburn will go to Atlanta by the same rule.

With them tie breaking rules they need get rid of perm crossovers imho its not fair.

UK will beat Mizzou and LSU so that doesn't matter.

Your stupid board left Auburn out. The championship is a 3 way race between Landmass and Cow College.

Won't happen. Bama sucks.

Point is moot. Baka will have at least 2 losses.

OP, you've presented a very interesting question.
I'm not quite sure what to say.
You puttin me onda onda onda onda onda onda spot....
There is no need to be upset.

Well, the schedule is easier from here. Read here that is the case.

It is the seventh tiebreaker that replaced the highest BCS ranking tiebreaker since the BCS doesn't exist anymore.
If I was Bama, I wouldn't be worrying about hinging my season on Vandy tanking, I would worry about beating Auburn, LSU and MSST.

If we get to Atlanta it will be a team trip to Six Flags. Those potheads will not sniff Atlanta.

Auburn has the advantage over everyone else in this tie-breaker scenario because they play Georgia.
