I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. MSU has a nice campus and their stadium is nice as well. We arrived and walked around a bit, had some Chik-Fil-A at the student union and then moved on to the Tiger Walk at the back of the stadium. I had the best tickets I have ever had at a college football stadium. So the view was great. We sat next to MSU fans and they were great. We chatted a lot during the game and when we left several surrounding fans shook our hands and told us they hoped we had a great time in Starkville. We did.

As for the cowbells. They are annoying, but I don't believe they are any type of unfair advantage. With the cowbells it elevates the loudness to the level of JHS or BDS. They just do it with several thousand fewer fans.

I would definitely visit again. Congrats State fans!

It's not what everyone else said it was.

Glad you had a good time.

This is the way you take a loss.

I hate it when someone shows class and respect when their team loses, and some petulant rantchild calls it "dickriding".

I know the bells are legal per sec coaches vote but what about a bowl game, are they allowed?

They've both allowed and encouraged them at every bowl game of the Dan Mullen era. It is the bowl game's decision, though.

Glad you had a good time, minus the game.

Was that you sitting in front of me? I had a good time chatting up some Auburn fans in front of me during half time. The game momentum was swinging in AU's favor before the half, so there was no patronizing. Just one human being decent to another.

I've never had a bad experience at a State home game. Crimson Legend I agree with your comment.

Starkvegas is severely underrated. I went for the Thursday night game a few years back, and we had a blast. Solid stadium, nice little strip of bars, great fans. Could do without the cowbells, but we scream "STTDB" so I'm not sure I have any room to criticize.
