In the case that they fall under one of those categories, it's gross incompetence on behalf of the TSA/CDC etc. that they were allowed back into the US without a pretty thorough check of their health status.
Symptoms don't even appear in people with Ebola for up to 21 days. He likely would have never had any outward signs.

I really just felt like we needed some justification to put someone down for being stupid. I don't think it will be that bad here.

I would make everybody coming back from the region stay in a hospital for a week. Take blood tests, etc. before they can leave.

This patient had some time to spread the virus before being put in isolation.

The TSA is filled with retards. They are mcdonalds level employees that are dealing with national security. Anyone that is traveling to a Ebola outbreak area should be heavily screened. US gov botched this one as usual.

IMO more of a reason to put the person down. when you are patient 0 bad things should happen to you.

They need to be quarantined.

putting them in quarantine would be the correct thing to do. Id put even money on the gov failing to do so.

Whew. Thank goodness we're keeping an eye on them. I'd hate for them to get out of sight.
ETA: LINK
He/she had been here for 6 days before seeking treatment-but only a "handful of family members and others" might have been exposed.
Extrapolate that out.

From the OP,
Even if they say it's not transmissible if the infected person is not exhibiting symptoms, that's 4 days where he could have exposed others.

While in Dallas, the patient was visiting family who live there. The patient began to develop symptoms on September 24, first sought care on September 26, and was admitted to the hospital on September 28.

true and i bet ebola kills poors at a much higher rate than rich people.

Everybody needs to calm down. We have a great public health system and plenty of hospitals that are capable of treating many thousands of patients.
The virus has not mutated to an easily transmissible variant of Ebola. That's when we would need to worry. We'll be fine if it remains as it is.

The CDC said that the experimental drug used to combat ebola has only worked on those with white skin.
It must be a conspiracy.

in the end it would be a very positive thing overall. We get some more time to figure out the overpopulation thing, it will help to decrease the racial tension (unless they only help cure whitey), less traffic, less people to pay for ...

How will this effect t-bird? he has black skin but he is a white person on the inside.
