And I find it funny that you blame liberals for making this a partisan issue. Voter ID laws didn't become an issue until the Republicans gained some seats in Congress in 2010. Then it really ramped up right before we were about to elect a black president to a second term.

They aren't wrong that it's a good idea if simply to add legitimacy to elections. As I've stated, they pretty much need to hand out the IDs for it to be accpetable, but there's nothing on its face that is discriminatory if they exhaust every effort to get IDs in the hands of every single registered voter.

While the GOP no doubt has an ulterior motive bringing it up, the Democrats no doubt have an ulterior motive suppressing it or making it into a political correctness issue. You don't really have much ground to stand on when much of the civilized world does this and sees no problem with it. End of story.

In all three of your links, it's not talking about voter impersonation, which is the only type of voter fraud that an ID would prevent.

Yes. I'm merely pointing out some problems with election integrity. Do you want more?
Eta: stories like these lead people to believe that our election system is fraught with problems. They then seek solutions that don't make the most sense. Voter ID is such a response.

This entire thread has only been about voter IDs. There are all kinds of voter fraud that occur much more frequently than voter impersonation, mostly corruption cases. None of which would be solved by voter IDs.
I never argued that voter fraud occurred.

Can we at least agree that accurate voter rolls would be effective at eliminating voter fraud without disinfranchising anyone but corpses?

And if you'd read the thread, I don't feel that Voter Id is a reasonable solution now. I just find the typical arguments against voter ID as you are "articulating" are ridiculous.
