Why is Ole Miss Ranked in the Top 10?

During last night's game ESPN showed Auburn's schedule, and when doing so, it finally hit me that Ole Miss is ranked in the top 10. At any point during a season, being ranked in the Top 10 should not be taken lightly, and it should mean you have a truly excellent football team. So I decided to look at what Ole Miss had done this year.
2014 Wins:
Boise State
Vanderbilt
LA - Lafayette
Not the most impressive slate of wins. They took care of business, yes, but no groundbreaking victories. So my next thought was maybe they had a great year last year and the expectations are for them to follow up with another great season.
2013 Wins:
Vanderbilt
SE Missouri State
Texas
LSU
Idaho
Arkansas
Troy
GT
A semi-impressive list of wins, but when you look deeper into it, it really isn't. The only legitimate win they had was against an LSU team that was emotionally spent from a hard fought Florida game. And the inability to come up clutch in the Egg Bowl leaves me with some doubts.
So why is Ole Miss ranked so high? And if you think the ranking is warranted, please give me reasons. Bo Wallace has yet to give me any reason but to think he will crumble when the Rebels hit SEC play.

A bunch of teams ahead of them lost, simple as that.

Because they were #18 in the preseason poll, and have not lost while teams ahead of them have

It's because of pre-season polls. It's the same reason Ohio State gets ranked ahead of Va Tech even after Va Tech beats them on the road.
If you start the season off in the top 25 and you don't lose for 5 weeks, it's bound to happen.
Same thing happened to State when we went 7-0.
