Well, if Tennessee fans can claim they are leading in attendance numbers after two games, I suppose that claiming an ACTUAL ON-THE-FIELD STATISTIC is fair enough to be proud about.

Have a feeling bama fans won't be too happy with Simms afterwards.
Sims has done well with what he has been asked but the few passes down field have been dropped. Coker is no where near ready yet. Without a down field threat at QB some are just concerned that teams will just sit on the run.

That was a pedestrian juke... it was just against horrible defenders, so it looks better than it was...

Ware wants
Not just the fans, but some members of LOCAL Media... The Montgomery Fishwrapper turned it into a racial issue and called out Andre Ware
SEC Network announcer Andre Ware is more than a little biased.
When Alabama went ahead 21-0, Ware said: "Blake Sims is the starting QB at Alabama … forget about it.".........
One of the examples of Ware's over-exuberance was later in the second quarter when he was criticizing Jake Coker for a sideline route to Amari Cooper that didn't have the authority that Sims' passes had.
The guess here is Ware wants Sims, a fellow African-American, to be the Crimson Tide's undeniable starter. He cheered and campaigned for him enough during the SEC Network's broadcast.

how about he start completing passes further down field than 5 yards before you get all excited. He's going to struggle BADLY against good defenses if he can't do that. 85% of Cooper's catches are little WR screens.

I actually liked Ware. Bama fans soft. In the first half Coker sucked. Even threw a jab at the end of the half after he made a horrible play. Ware praised him in the second half when he made a throw as he got hit.
That being said.... Bubble screens ftw

All this talk about Buga covered up Coker throwing that jab at a FAU player. Then he he looked like a crybaby after he got frustrated because he didn't throw the ball away to end the half. It was an ugly series for him, and showed us what kind of character he has.. he's no leader

Sims has looked pretty good - especially Saturday, against the nation's worst defense.
FAU's defensive rankings (out of 127 FBS teams):
Total defense - #127
Scoring defense - Tied #125
Rushing defene - #126
Passing defense - #120
3rd down conversions - #124
Red zone conversions (# of Scores) - #120
Red zone conversions (Score %) - Tied #47
I don't think you can really get a feel for Sims (or Coker) ability after the competition they've faced thus far.

If anything Saturday showed how the coaches plan to use Sims. And it's scary to me. Coker seemed to get more deep balls. He seems like a douche.
If OJ was utilized more I think we could get away with more short passes against good teams.

Sims actually looked more comfortable this past Saturday. His passes were on target even when he was out of the pocket, and he showed some good running skills on that touchdown run. I am trying to keep in mind that our opponent was greatly overmatched, however.
I do think we'll see more of OJ Howard. Kiffin is known for using the TEs. We just haven't unveiled all of the playbook yet.

Bo Wallace has more yards, TD's, YPA, and QBR than Blake Sims
Bo Wallace has a higher completion percentage, YPA, and QBR than Kenny Hill.
It's clearly between Bo and Kenny Hill in the SEC.
