There would be at least one thread about #5 if he had sucked as hard as Frost did Sat. 0 tackles or assists is pretty pathetic for a lb against a running football team. How much longer until Tre or Swain start getting the majority of the reps? It's a shame. He is a great athlete but just doesn't have the instincts to play LB.

Did he miss simple tackles? Did he get blown up by guys half his size? Did he arm tackle and spend most of his time chasing guys he couldn't dream of catching?
I didn't really pay attention to him.

I saw him miss Collins once but other than that I don't remember seeing much of him. Considering how many snaps he played I think that is probably a bad thing.

I paid attention and he was terrible. He would move right into blockers constantly and never ripped through any of them to even get involved in a play. One time he had the rb squared up one on one in the hole and did not touch him. Talking terrible.
I have decided he either has zero lateral quickness or is afraid of contact. Or both.

Yes he completely missed the rb lined up against him in the hole a couple plays. He's average.

He managed to fill few (if any) gaps and seemed to wait on the RB to come to him and make a move instead of attacking. Maybe he was just off his game but he was less than impressive.

That seems almost impossible for a LB.

I will give the Higs O-line some credit they did a great job getting to the 2nd level in the first half. Frost,Whitehead take poor angles and play too high.

His play made me sad.

He was not good. Hopefully, one of the new guys will take his place soon.

He played fine. He recorded 3 hurries which is more than any other player on the team. His role Saturday was primarily to rush the passer and the stat sheet shows it.

Kris Frost did a lot of blitzing from his linebacker spot; in the first half, he moved up to the line of scrimmage several times to attack the quarterback, which is why he produced a team-high three quarterback hurries.

Our depth at LB is terrible. I don't see how the staff thinks Holland is a "luxury"

Don't care about this bullhell. He did not play fine. He cannot stop the run at all. I would not be saying this if this was a one game sample. He has been terrible at stopping the run for a while now. He drops back into coverage fine with some straight line speed. However, I am now of the opinion he does not like contact until I see him stuff a RB in the hole. Something I can't ever recall him doing well.

Side note: Jake Holland walked right by me in section 33.
Also saw Steven Clark in the stands.

TTs do you know why the Broncos cut Clark 3 days after signing him?

In fairness, Colquitt is one of the best in the league. I would certainly love to have seen an Auburn player replace a UT player though.
