there is a big thread on the MSB, but ya, crazy shite. The local sheriff's office is supposed to be having a press conference soon, but not sure if that is true or not.

Pretty fricked up.

Awful (and completely avoidable) situation. A young driver is dead, and another driver's career is likely finished. Just unreal

I watched the video a couple times and I can't tell exactly what Tony did other than gun his engine, but the whole thing is fricked up.

Don't walk out in front of another guy's car. End of story.

Both are at fault here. Not sure why that driver thought it was a good idea to try to chase down Stewart, should have stayed in his car, and Stewart should have been going slower and lower on the track.
Both are clearly at fault.

Looked to me like he was trying to swerve. Other driver was being an a-hole and trying to make a point by getting in front of him and forcing him to stop. Tony probably didn't expect it.
I expect this to be the story.

Terrible situation.
I don't think Stewart struck him intentionally, and it was an extremely foolhardy move for Ward to come out on the track like that.

The MSB is a great read this morning. I wish I could see IRL pictures of some of the people that are posting in that thread.

Totally not intentional. Dude wearing all black at night on a dark track.
Really stupid to try and give a piece of your mind to a car going 40/50 MPH.

Yeah, after watching the video, that guy was stupid for walking out to the middle of the track. I can't see how one could watch and say TS most definitely hit him intentionally.

Sad deal. I am sorry for the young man's family. Don't think Stewart had any intent to hit the guy, maybe sling a little dirt on him or something.
However, I don't care how pissed you are, you don't walk out into traffic without assuming some responsibility if something happens to you.

They say the fault is distributed equally earlier but the impact isn't. You're on foot, you don't weigh more than a car. Period. Wait until the end of the race to go fight -- it isn't worth your life.

It is. One poster over there said the deceased driver could count to potato.
