It can happen to anyone, please use this a cautionary event. Driving drunk isn't worth it. Nor is riding with a drunk driver.

quote:.377. Geez that puts some people in a Coma. If he would have been wearing a seatbelt he would have likely been unharmed as people who are that wasted usually end up ok in wrecks. Sad situation all around
Lutzenkirchen, who was seated in the back seat, registered a blood alcohol level of 0.377.

Is it customary to publish a passenger's BAC in cases like this?
The driver I understand because they have to establish cause/fault

Driver more than two times the legal limit.
Lutz almost 5 times the legal limit.
I'll be glad when this story goes away. He was considered to be a leader of young men but
unfortunately couldn't set a better example of how to handle alcohol. :SMH:
RIP anyway, Lutz.

Come on man
Exactly why I asked my previous question, is it necessary to put that data point out there when he wasn't the one driving?

Aren't you just about dead at .37 BAC?

Sounds like bad decisions across the board in this case. Hate to see a guy lose his life over having a good time. Let someone have your keys if your ever in this situation.

Personally, I don't take offense to it being published and it doesn't diminish who Lutz was as a person IMO.

quote:Yes. .35 and above can induce a coma and .40 is usually lethal. Im thinking the coroner prolly tested Lutz to find out if he was dead before the accident. Not sure why it was made public though
