What are people thinking about LB? I know DePriest and Devall will start and then Foster, Ragland, Dickson , Lee ,and Anderson are possibilities. I would like to see Lee and Foster in there. Anybody smarter than me want to tell me what is likely to happen?
DePriest at Mike and Devall at Jack are virtually locks. Lee seems to be out of the doghouse for now, so expect him to start at Sam. Ragland took the lead for the Will job in the Spring, but expect a rotation with Reuben Foster. Think Hightower/Nico/CJ in 2010/11 and CJ/Nico/Trey in 2012. Three man rotation inside.
When we go to our Nickel looks, I think you can expect Trey to stay on the field. Reggie/Reuben might, but I wouldn't be shocked if Lee moved inside next to Trey in Nickel. Though we'll be in Nickel most of the time, so who knows how it shakes out. Devall and possibly Dickson on the edges in Nickel, though it could easily be Allen and Pettway with Robinson and maybe Tomlinson inside.
In Dime, Lee will probably be the lone backer. Think Mosley's role in 2010/11. I'm confident Rashaan Evans will eventually become a third down rusher in Dime off the edge.

Holcombe looks good too. I wish teams weren't going to the spread. I'd love to us field 4 linebackers every down.

Xavier Dickson will figure in the rotation somewhere as he is a senior with experience

Curious not to here more about Dickson and any update of Pettway.

Pettway was on the 2nd DL grouping today with Lake and Orr, but that's about all I've seen.

Speaking of Coker throwing of his back foot:

That's nothing. I saw Bateman throwing in mid air yesterday.

Anyone else going to Fan Day tomorrow? This is probably the last chance I have to go to one before I finish school and I wouldn't mind getting watch the QB's and a lot of the new guys.
Don't really care for the autograph section of Fan Day, but the practice should be entertaining.

I've thought about going (for the practice only like you), but I don't know if I will or not. I'll know when I wake up.

Correct or depending on the type of offense ran. On certain 3rd and longs in 3-2-6 I would like to see lee or Evans as the other LB to Depriest or foster.

Not sure that Foster is better against the pass than Ragland, but both guys should play a lot, so long as Foster stays healthy.

The link that was posted yesterday of Coker I only saw him throw off his back foot when he rolled out which is natural to come off the plant foot but all his throws in the pocket were not and he seems to lean to much into it on those high throws. Almost trying to put to much on it. That pic I believe from is from a rollout.

Don't think it will shock anyone to see either of them come off the field on 3rd downs. As much talk as Lee has got as a cover backer, seems it would be him sharing the middle with DePriest.
Reamer did it back in the day, and Reamer didn't have the talent of Lee. Should be in for a big year if he can tuck the bottle away for the season.

It was a rollout, you're right.
Hopefully tomorrow yields a lot of video of Coker throwing. Obviously we can't tell much by him throwing in practice, but it'll be nice just to see him throwing period.
Just 4 more weeks fellas.

What days will there be no practice between now and gameday? Scrimmages are the 9th and 16th iirc.
