Coker with nice throws to Vogler and Howard. One with some touch, one with a lot of zip.

C-Rob is stoning everyone. Even Evans on back to back plays.
A'Shawn Robinson destroyed Josh Casher.

Well i'm talking about all the damn picks being thrown
As of now, I'm fine with chalking it up to solid DBs, rain, and it being early fall camp.
Like I said. Brown making a freak pick and it raining I can understand and be happy with.
What concerned me was sylve getting one... Hes fast but a mediocre corner
Posted on 8/3/14 at 4:13 pm to Recruitingjunkie
I wouldn't call Sylve mediocre. He flashed signs of consistency last year. Seems like he had a lot of mental errors.
I don't think he has a lot of potential to be a lockdown corner like TB/EJ/MH, but I think he could be solid.

Hes fast and agile from a cover standpoint. He lacks size, tackling ability, vertical, and isnt one of our top 4 corners. Hes average IMO

We'll just have to agree to disagree. You have some good points though, but still I think he's a little better than average.

Hand, Evans, Brown, Humphrey, and SDH getting looks with the 2s.

What is the starting O and D look like out there?
DL: Allen Robinson Tomlinson?
LB: Devall Ragland Foster Lee?
S: Collins Geno Jarrick?
CB: Cyrus Sylve? (blah) Brown Humphrey Jackson (YES)

Base DL was Allen/Tomlinson with Robinson at Nose
Reub/Ragland in the middle in DePriest's abscense.
Devall/Lee outside.

In Nickel Geno was at Star and Jarrick joined LC at Safety.
Offense:

Solid except OL and Sims. Would like to see Black at slot and Foster in there as the 3rd outisde receiver to Coop and White. I think Chris Jones is a hell of a player and a solid WR, but I love him at returner and sweeps and shite. I like Black at WR way better. Hes the more pure receiver.

Ok.

What would you change on the OL?
I'd like Dom/Hill on the right side instead of Taylor/Shep, personally. But I'm fine with whatever gives us the best chance to win.

Dom Jackson is seeing primary work as 3rd team LT.
Josh Frazier bullied the 2nd and 3rd teamers.
Devall/Dickson were the OLBs for some 1st team reps.
Ryan Kelly held up well against A'Shawn.
Ton of drops with the rain.
Was a formation with both TEs out wide, and another with Fowler and Tenpenny as WRs in 5 WR sets.

And you know this how??? First thing Saban looks for in CBs is tackling. He wouldn't be on the field if he couldn't play. Kids a freak athlete how do you know what his vertical is? He cant be any worst that Belue was last year.

Sounds like our defense will be nasty. Anyone have that dog shaking out of the box gif?

Honestly... If I was wearing the script A straw hat... from a personnel standpoint my starting lineup and situational depth chart would look like this:
Offense:
QB: Coker
RB: 1a.Yeldon 1b.Henry/ Pace change: Drake
HB: Fowler
WR1: Cooper
WR2: Foster
WR3: White (speed field side WR)
Slot: Black/ Sweep and screen guy: Chris Jones
TE: Howard/ Blocking: Vogler
LT: Robinson
LG: Jackson
C: Kelly
RG: Brown (when he gets back)
RT: G.Hill
*I understand Jackson has to prove himself and he isnt going to run with the 1's ASAP but I expect him to and Brown to when he gets back. Grant Hill is just straight up better than Austin Shepard. Im sorry but Shepard is a mediocre football player. Arie really makes me uncomfortable.
Defense:
SSDE: Tomlinson
NT: Robinson
WSDE: Allen
Pass Rush DE: Hand (Tomlinson out)
Jack: Devall against run heavy teams/Evans against speed, spread, and outside teams.
Mike: Depriest
Will: Ragland against run/ Foster against pass to either rush or drop back./ Lee on definite passing downs.
Sam: Lee
Star: Jarrick against run heavy to stay in box/ Geno or Mo Smith agsint pass heavy to cover slot.
SS: Collins
FS: Geno Smith
CB1: Tony Brown
CB2: Marlon Humphrey
Island CB: Eddie Jackson (Follows big body WRs around like Treadwell, North, D.Williams)
Saban put Corners he trusts on islands with physically imposing receivers in the past. Last year we were awful at Corner and Eddie wasnt ready for aTm yet and was young. Cyrus Fulton and Sylve vs Mike Evans and look what happened. Belue was hurt. Kirkpatrick used to stay with Reuben Randle, Justin Hunter, and Greg Childs. I think Eddie is that type of player.
Kicker: Griffith
Punter: Scott
LS: Mazza
