75 million viewers
6 million in Missouri

They should get a proportional share.

Tx- 24 million
FL - 19 million

We're basically 50/50 partners with ESPN, correct?

I'm assuming we split it down the middle after ESPN claims their operating expenses?

Is there room to grow the profits, or are we actually peaking at birth? Because if that's the case that will not be good for us in the long run.

Makes me wonder about who will be keeping the books.

Our contract with ESPN is for what, 15 yrs? If I remember correctly it is not negotiable even if we add two more teams.

What does that tell us?

This just in: The SEC has added Texas to the SEC West and ND to the SEC East. Aggies are pissed and Alabama is working hard to ensure a yearly matchups with Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

I, for one, would like to thank our Texas A&M brethren for bringing in such a large bounty, while not being total choads like that other school in the state.

Because of Los Angeles? If not, this doesn't make any sense.

Schools should seriously consider going down on ticket pricing/donation reqs, at least a little bit. Give something back to the fans that make their fat tv contract so.. fat.

ESPN owns 50% of the network, so they get half of this. Not that $305 million is bad thing.

According to the Sports Business Journal Comcast will be paying $1.40 per month in the 11 state SEC footprint. There are roughly 28 million cable and satellite subscribers in the 11 state SEC footprint and another 47 million outside the SEC. Those cable and satellite subscribers outside the footprint will be paying just .25 a month. So the vast majority of the SEC Network money will be coming from SEC fans, which makes total sense.

And this is why we have aTm & Mizzou in the SEC instead of FSU & Clemson, and why if we ever do expand to 16 it won't include FSU or Clemson or any other school that is in a state that already has an SEC school in it.

Actually, having two Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee schools is holding us back from maximizing our SECN revenue potential.

The ultimate and crushing irony of the Longhorn Network for Texas fans? It's going to end up making more money for hated rival Texas A&M than it is for Texas.
