Is this aimed at your fellow bammer fans? Because they are the only ones I see making a big deal out of Yeldon's fumbling.
I don't think he fumbles an unusual amount, but he does seem to do so at inopportune times for y'all.
Personally, I wish he would fumble a lot more, especially against Auburn.

It's hard to find fumbles in stats. That's why I posted the link and the only reason marshall and mason were brought up was because they were included. That's the only place I could find Yeldons fumble numbers and attempts. It just so happened it listed other Alabama rbs and auburns rushing pair from last season.

Why does Yeldon fumble so much?

Put too much butter on his popcorn.

What about getting your sh*t pushed in by a true freshman in the closing moments of the national championship? What are the stats on that?

Michael Dyer had 22 carries for 143 yards, including a 37 yard run in the last 2 minutes of the 2010 BCS win for Auburn over Oregon.

Can we please stop with the damn TJ Yeldon posts? I cannot speak for anyone else, but I am sick and tired of Bama fans posting about him.
He is a good RB, but you guys are making him out to be all world!

Well he is the second or third best running back in the country.

Go look up Abdullah's fumbles. He has fumbled more than Yeldon, but I think the carries per fumble will equal out about the same. Nobody is trying to push him out of the way. I've noticed this with Alabama fans on every site I go to, the backup running back always seems to be better in their eyes, even when the starter is putting on a show. At best Henry will compete with Drake for backup carries. Yeldon will get the ball another 200+ times.

You made my point for me. I think he is good, but you fools make him very hard to like.

Who would you take over him?

I highly doubt Yeldon has a fumbling problem this year. If he's on the field, it's fixed.

Todd Gurley
Melvin Gordon
Karlos Williams
Mike Davis
Kenyan Drake
Ameer Abdullah
Terrance Magee (homer pick)
in that order.
ETA: I'm also very high on Tevin Coleman, Buck Allen, Thomas Tyner, and Duke Williams. I think Yeldon fits in with this Category.

Why does Yeldon fumble so much?
Hopefully it's a lack of maturity and he'll grow out of it ala Eddie Lacy.

I feel like most of his fumbles were just great hits on the ball. His fumble against Oklahoma was because Arie K. slammed into him/the ball.
I have confidence that he will hold onto the ball this year.

the only other that is close is Gurley and if you can't stay healthy your not the best!
Not even if you have more yards, TD's, Receptions, Receiving TD's, fewer fumbles?
So, what exactly makes Yeldon a better back? The fact that he has not gotten hurt? A LOT of backs can make that claim. Perhaps Gurley is a horrible back
Of course, every magazine and expert opinion I have read has had Gurley as first team RB on All American teams.
Hey, Yeldon is an excellent back. If we didn't have Gurley, Marshall, Chubb or Michel I would want Yeldon on our team.
Shoot, even most Alabama fans think Yeldon is the second best back at Alabama.
