Why is Auburn so obssessed with Georgia?

This is a legitimately serious question, although I'm sure most of the responses will be flames.


But seriously...why is it that their fanbase (on here at least) seems so enamored with us? I mean let's look at the recent history. We won 4 in a row and they weren't saying much at all. Then in 2010 they won it all, but even then there wasn't much directed specifically at us. Obviously the game was heated and that caused some squabbles, but ultimately that offseason AU had more of a general "we just won the natty so frick everyone" kind of attitude, their trash talk was evenly distributed, IMO. Then we dominated the next 2 years and again they go quiet. Which brings up last year. Very close game (that they won, beating a team that lost 5 games mind you), and after that it's like we are all they can think about. I don't even see them talking crap to bammers as much as they do us. Why is that auburn fans?

And before you say "well we finally won again so it's only natural", I disagree. We lost to UT for a decade before turning things around, and we don't really poke at them. Same for UF, we've won 3 in a row and there is a shockingly low amount of UGA on UF smack talk. We got annhialiated by LSU in 11 and won last year...nothing. Lost 3 in a row to SC then won last year...nothing. So what is the deeply rooted issue here? Again, I'm asking honestly...what is it that makes the AU fans on here seem to focused on talking crap about UGA as opposed to other fanbases?
