what would your state's team look like? And who would win this thing? I say Florida, easily.

(players must have been born in or played high school in that state)

Alabama
QB- Philip Rivers, Decatur (NC State)
RB- Zach Stacy, Centreville (Vanderbilt)
RB- Ameer Abdullah, Homewood (Nebraska)
WR- Julio Jones, Foley (Alabama)
WR- Jerricho Cotchery, Birmingham (NC State)
WR- Ben Obomanu, Selma (Auburn)
OT- Andre Smith, Birmingham (Alabama)
OG- Evan Mathis, Homewood (Alabama)
C- Antoine Caldwell, Montgomery (Alabama)
OG- Ben Grubbs, Eclectic (Auburn)
OT- David Stewart, Moulton (MS State)

DE- Michael Johnson, Plantersville (Georgia Tech)
DT- Marcel Dareus, Birmingham (Alabama)
DE- Justin Tuck, Kellyton (Notre Dame)
LB- Michael Boley, Elkmont (Southern Miss)
LB- Courtney Upshaw, Eufaula (Alabama)
LB- DeMeco Ryans, Bessemer (Alabama)
LB- DeMarcus Ware, Auburn (Troy)
CB- Captain Munnerlyn, Mobile (South Carolina)
CB- Jerraud Powers, Decatur (Auburn)
S- Rashad Johnson, Sulligent (Alabama)
S- Mark Barron, Mobile (Alabama)

K- Leigh Tiffin, Muscle Shoals (Alabama)
P- (no idea)

This was time consuming... fair warning

ETA: This is for guys who could currently play on the team... they don't have to be active NFL. This isn't an all-time, all-state team

DT- Nick Fairley, Mobile

Just no. Dareus was voted by his peers number 62 in the nfl top 100. Had 7.5 sacks and 71 tackles last year basically from the NG position

Michael Johnson is from Plantersville, I like him over
umenyiora at this point.

Bird, I am disappoint son

Yes, active. Half of these guys wouldn't make an all-time roster

Never mind, I semi-apologize. However, is Yeldon the best we can do as a State? What about Cadillac Williams? Isn't he from Alabama and I don't think he's "officially" retired?

Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Dez Bryant, etc. The Lone Star State crushes on offensive talent.

I think we got this (TX)

QB - Drew Brees or Andrew Luck (or Jonny Manziel )
RB - Andrian Peterson
RB - Jamaal Charles
WR - Dez Bryant
WR - Josh Gordon
WR - Michael Crabtree
TE - Martellus Bennett or Brandon Pettigrew or Jermichael Finley (tough to pick)

DE/DT - Red Bryant
DT - Henry Melton
DE - Michael Bennett
OLB - Von Miller
ILB - Derrick Johnson
OLB - Brian Orakpo
S - Earl Mitchel
CB - Aqib Talib

P - Shane Lechler
K - Justin Tucker

Seriously the list of QBs doesn't end.
Luck
Brees
Stafford
Manziel
RG3
Ponder
Daniel
Mallet
McCown
Kolb
Foles
Tannehill
Flynn
Dalton

This was a little time consuming and I didn't even finish. Fellow Texans help me finish it.

I doubt this time is even challenged though. So much talent.

California might provide a pretty stout team.

One that comes to mind is former Arkansas punter Dylan Breeding (graduated in 2012)... He went to Hoover high school

It would take awhile to do this for Texas but the offensive talent would be absurd. Just picking a backup QB to Brees would be tough.

Brees at QB

Peterson at RB

Dez Bryant and Josh Gordon at WR

Texas would win easily

QB: Drew Brees
RB: Adrian Peterson
RB: Jamaal Charles
WR: Dez Bryant
WR: Michael Crabtree
WR: Josh Gordon
TE: Jermichael Finley
OL: Trent Williams
OL: Russell Okung
OL: J'Marcus Webb
OL: Louis Vasquez

DT: Henry Melton
DT: Casey Hampton
DE: Cory Redding
DE: Michael Bennett
LB: Brian Orakpo
LB: Von Miller
LB: Derrick Johnson
CB: Aqib Talib

Basically, the state of Texas has produced at least one player in the top 5 at every position in the game.

Louisiana had a to of talent leave the state after Katrina even though they played one or two years of high school ball here.

But here is a list to narrow it down

LINK

Damn looking at our choices, Peyton Manning to Reggie Wayne was already successful. We could hold our own against anybody
