For my 10,000th post, I will host the first ever Dawgrant Giveaway.

To win, correctly guess how many pulls it takes to get this small outboard running.

Background:
Sears Gamefisher 1989, merc parts.
This motor last ran on the Sunday after G-Day in 2012, over two years ago, in Lake Oconee. It had brand new plugs and a brand new impeller.

Ever since then, it has been laying on it's side in the back of a junk station wagon in Winterville.

Definitions-

"Pull"- The number of times I have to pull on the rope handle thingy.

"Run"- Motor up to operating temp, in gear, in a trash can of water.

Tie Breaker #1- Do I have to pull the carb or not pull the carb...

Tie Breaker #2- Including the beer in my hand when i begin tomorrow around 7pm, how many will have been consumed by the time it gets running?

This goes down tomorrow evening. Get your votes in by 7pm tomorrow.

The prize is the Deeprig Soft Plastic Special...

A Smokin' Shad Super Fluke (from ZOOM Baits, right down the road in Bogart), two different colors of the BPS salty craws (hollow body), a green pumpkin colored trick worm with sparkle (also from ZOOM), and the unholiest of unholy of all soft plastic baits, the 6" black/red sparkle YUM lizard, infused with stankiness that ol' Mr. Bigmouth just can't resist.

Ballot Format:

Pulls:
Carb: ON or OFF
Beer:

Good Luck.

You can win it for $500.

I think you will also still have to change plugs.

I know you say it had brand new ones 2 years ago but, if its really just been laying on its side for 2 years in the back yard, the plugs are likely fricked.

I'm betting that two years ago it had a nice tank of ethanol gas...so you could save the planet...that's been sitting in it ever since.

You'll need to un-gum the carb.

Some of you seem confused. For clarification, when I say "pull the carb" I mean "remove the carberator from the engine for the purposes of cleaning or adjusting".

How many times I open and close the choke lever is not part of this event.

Yall feel free to edit your picks up to 7pm.
