Yeah. That was. But isn't it unlucky to have the refs give your opponent a free TD they didn't get?
You don't have any solid proof that he didn't score. They reviewed it, and the play stood.
This is honestly the first time I've seen fans of any fan base refer to any aspect of UGA's 2013 season as "lucky." It was just a long, drawn-out parade of misfortune.

It was a fortunate play but AU set it up with a deep return man & having more speed on the field. Bama had big linemen & TE's in blocking for the FG. When it was wide it turned into a KO return where AU had the advantage in speed & skill players on the field vs OT's, OG's & TE's chasing the return man...
And Gus Malzahn was smart enough to notice the situation, call a timeout, and stick one of the best punt returners in the SEC back there.

when is the last time Georgia won a championship? 2005 almost a decade ago

You guys are way to arrogant after lucking into about 5 or 6 wins last year. I could easily see Auburn finish 7-5 this year.
Seriously. They win multiple games on fluke plays and think they're world beaters.

that's totally irrelevant to this conversation

Let the delusionals run their penis holsters. That won't change the fact that the Gus Bus is just getting start, and they can't accept it. Their tears will taste even more delicious next offseason.

You were still fricking lucky on the tip tho...

I agree with this. The Iron Bowl play was taking advantage of an opportunity. The DSOR play was too, but in more of a "oh shite the football happened to just get tipped directly into my hands behind the defense" sort of way.

That doesn't necessarily mean he didn't. Most people on these boards are wrong about most things.
Regardless, there is still no proof that he wasn't in. The person with the best view (the official) said he scored. All that said, it doesn't matter.

quote:Thats because most of the time is it brought up by someone just trying to discredit Auburn winning. Admitting AM didn't cross the line wouldn't help their cause. I'm not sure why the refs let it stand but it was clear from the views they showed on TV and even the announcers said Auburn got screwed. The tipped pass was just a bigger play and made the other play irrelevant. Had Auburn lost it would have been all over the place that UGA was lucky.

No it wasn't, and no they didn't.

I think he really does believe that. His entire tenure here has been an exercise in giving the rest of y'all a bad name. I've yet to see him actually discuss football like an intelligent human being. The rest of y'all and Bama fans flame each other a lot, but y'all do seem to actually like football more than flaming.

Auburn just needs to put together a couple really strong seasons in a row, and the respect will come. There is no reason this season should be anything like 2011, for instance. This year is pivotal for the Gus Bus.
