Not in Austin, it isn't.
Austin's much, much more dry than Houston. Native Houstonian living in Austin right here. When I go down to Houston for business or weddings or to see my brother's kid the humidity just wallops me. It's insanely humid in Houston. You can taste it and feel it when you breathe in.
Most humid I've ever experienced though was Biloxi at 3 (or was it 4?) AM in August walking from a club in the Hard Rock back to our room at Beau. HOLY shite!

I visited Dallas a couple years ago when they were going through that 40 something day drought. It was hot as hell, but I would take it over the damn humidity here.

I prefer 95 and 60% in Dallas over 85 and 90% in Atlanta.

Hell yes.
My territory is all of south Texas. I've been in Eagle Pass when it's north of 107 but is dry as hell. Yeah, it's hot but it's pretty manageable.
Houston at 98 with its standard humidity kind of sucks.
Houston and New Orleans are uncomfortable in the summer. Atlanta is close behind but it's just not as bad.

I've been in Amarillo when it was 106 and it was much more bearable than 100 degree Shreveport with high humidity

There is a band from Columbus Ga across middle GA all the way over to Columbia SC, that is hotter than dawg frick in the summmer. its like the heat gets down in there and doesnt come out. Absolutely oppressive in middle and south GA and south carolina in the summer.

I prefer humidity over dry heat. Dry heat will suck the life out of you.
Dry heat isn't going to make me need to shower on the hour to avoid the inevitable swamp arse that humid heat will bring though.

I went in a hike w the kids in Central Texas and I'm chafing in the nethers today.
I've lived through West Texas Dry heat, Houston Humidity and San Antonio Summers.
The absolute worst is Central Texas (Austin/Waco/San Antonio)
Just unrelenting amount of humidity and pure heat. I'll take 106 in west Texas or 99 degrees in 100% humidity any day of the week over this stuff.
Worst year in history was June July August 2011 literally 100 days of 100 degrees plus.
My balls sweat for you SECrOT

Atlanta heat is the worst that I've experienced. When it's upper 90's and humid as frick...
All I want to do is float in the pool when it's like that.

Humidity sucks, but I haven't dealt with dry heat in a while. I'm going to arizona tomorrow, where it will be 99.

San Antonio for boot during the summer, guys would get heat rash from sweating so damn much. Iraq was almost as bad....almost.

Bunch of damn wusses on this thread. Grew up in south-central Texas, lived in Hart Hall when it was air conditioned by God, and still to this day I'd rather be sweating my arse off than cold. Graduated A&M, went to working my arse off in 116-120 deg F Bakersfield, CA and then a stint in Edinburgh, Scotland in November. Talk about your temperature changes.

Born and raised in south MS, work in Saudi Arabia and the heat is different but just as bad in both. 90+degrees with 90% humidity sucks but 135+ degrees is just a whole different animal to deal with. After living all my life in the south it is weird watching you clothes turn white from sweat without ever getting wet. That is dry heat.
