Why is Bama on ESPNU and Auburn on ESPN? I thought Bama was the bell cow of the SEC, and moreso the state of Alabama?

Low ratings because everyone's gonna be at the game.

*shrugs* ESPN trying their hand at the new flavor?
New SEC contract requires the champ's spring game to be featured?
Maybe the format Auburn uses is closer to an actual game than the one Alabama uses?
Spring games are weird creatures. They rarely resemble regular games the longer it goes on.

After we won the national championship in 2011 our spring game was televised on CSS. There's no rhyme or reason as to why spring games are televised on one particular channel or the other.
Alabama is the only reason why spring games are televised in the first place.

Before 2008 spring practice, how many college football teams had their spring game broadcast on ESPN?
