Depends on whether the kid was being serious or not. It's a rather harmless sign unless the kid really is a douche. In fact, if he's the nerdy kid that he very much looks to be then there's an ironic self-effacing humor in it that I don't have a problem with. If he's just a run of the mill frat guy in the making (and he really doesn't look like a future frat guy to me but I could be wrong - hard to say off one photo) then yeah kick the parents in the dick over it.
