Much like saban and bert he admitted only saying that because he knew he couldnt stop it.

I used to be pro-life and now I'm pro-choice

I see that he's been totally "Auburnized"...he's learned to speak out of both sides of his mouth!

I didn't know that it was newsworthy to change one's mind. I'm sure if Kiffin used the HUNH and was successful, Lil' Nicky would be trying to pass rules enhancing that type of offense.

He knows who signs his pay check. The whole HUNH argument is ridiculous. Saban and Bert should STFU and the refs should give the defense enough time to get lined up and call a scheme. Not 10 seconds, just a few seconds after the get lined up.
Or I guess we can just go back to rugby.

We realize most people have the impression that the world really needs to hear what they have to say. Therefore, they believe starting new threads is the proper way to convey their ideas. Sadly, most people are wrong. Your thoughts are not original, and likely were already beaten to death in an existing thread. We hate to break this news to you, but it's for your own good.

You are the only person I have seen with the same opinion as me. Let the refs set the pace of the game

there are bama fans and arky fans with his comments from years ago as their sig, you didn't think he held those same ideas playing for a guy that runs it did you?
I'm guessing he's the first coach to ever change his mind when faced with the prospect of employment.
Also, thread about auburn with pigfeet, armyhog, stoprobot and coachcrisp...you guys are missing sec crazy to have the whole aub-centric gang back together.

starts thread about Auburn coach hypocrisy...regarding a subject started by his coach trying to back door a rule under the false pretense of "safety", to slow down an offense he can't stop, by pitching to a committee with no data, and no opposing viewpoint. Would hate if linemen over 300 lbs or rednecks were outlawed in same manner. Fails to see irony.

It’s something the college football world needs to look at.”
I agree with this 100%. This is not about safety at all. It's about....well, your defensive coordinator said it best before he "changed his mind".
“What it’s about now is who can snap the football before the other team lines up. You can’t hardly get your players on and off the field. You can’t get your signals in and out. It’s become who has the best signal system or verbiage system. “
“Frankly, I don’t know what that proves except someone has a better verbiage package. It’s not about blocking, tackling, running, route running, throwing, and so forth. It’s something the college football world needs to look at.”

Could have fooled the entire college football watching world...that watched Greg Robinson propel himself to the first round because of BLOCKING...that watched Dee Ford come out of nowhere to vault to a first day pick because of, among other things, TACKLING, and watched Tre Mason go to NYC as a Heisman finalist for RUNNING... tell me again what it's NOT about?

The majority of the teams that Ford was tackling against weren't running the HUNH so I'm not sure there's a point to be made there.

Don't kill the messenger man. I'm just quoting your own defensive coordinator. Take it up with him.

Well first off he shutout Ole Miss which runs that offense. Second I wasn't aware that Saban proposed the rule. Third if there are opposing viewpoints I assure you they will be heard in the process.

If the refs in college ball would do what the nfl does it shouldnt be a need for the 10 sec rule.
They stand over the ball until teams are set and the refs are in place.
And that is the big thing, the refs in place.
