This was just a couple of years ago.
"What it's about now is who can snap the football before the other team lines up. You can’t hardly get your players on and off the field. You can’t get your signals in and out. It’s become who has the best signal system or verbiage system. “
“Frankly, I don’t know what that proves except someone has a better verbiage package. It’s not about blocking, tackling, running, route running, throwing, and so forth. It’s something the college football world needs to look at.”

So he decided to join Auburn and not have to worry about it........Your problem now.

He was actually asked about this before the season, and said he only said that because he knew he couldn't stop it
Sounds like Saban is sol

He doesn't defend it against A&M or Mississippi?

Maybe Saban never figures out how to stop it, but someone will. That's the cyclical nature of football.

I am sure all DC feel that way. The HUNH has taken them out of the equation. It require them to do work Sunday thru Saturday and hope their 11 and outplay your 11. This just shows Nick and Bret have their doubts

Can't talk about beertrude, but I think doubt drives a maniacal mind like Saban.

So it's not really about the safety of players like is being said? Which makes your coach a lying sack of shite? Just like the last one you embraced? Good luck!

I don't think it ever was about player safety. That's Bert's line. I actually feel Saban never more than toed that line, but got pulled into that argument with this whole shite show.

It drove him to the point that he wrote a letter to the committee and then felt it necessary to appear in person. I love how one year ago today, most of these same people bitching about the HUNH where calling it a gimmicky HS Offense that would fail miserably agaisnt the SEC Defenses. Now they are scrambling to change the rules.

there needs to be a rules change board

There will be no magical shut down of the HUNH version of power run anymore than there is for a traditional power run game.

This one's strong out the gates.

See it how you want to. But I don't think a thing will change. I embrace the challenge to stop Malzahn's offense.
