I'll shoot you one too real quick.
Honestly I play quiz up, and haven't played trivia crack much recently. TC is a lot more basic and has repeat questions. Plus 30 seconds is too long. I have a friend who is the consensus least intelligent in the group, and his %'s were all in the low 90s lol...

University of Oklahoma President David Boren will delay the football program's expansion and stadium renovation according to multiple sources. SoonerScoop.com has learned members of the administration were told of the plans to postpone construction on the first phase of a proposed $370 million renovation project to Oklahoma's Memorial Stadium and the Barry Switzer Center just last week. Those plans were relayed to contractors and architects earlier this week. Sources tell us the reasons behind the postponement are "market related." That has mostly to do with the current economic climate where oil prices have fallen drastically and stockpiles have built up to record highs in the U.S.
Sugar BowlAnother source told SoonerScoop.com that the current climate makes stadium expansion "unrealistic" at this point in time.

Expansion is stupid for anyone with a plus +80k stadium right now, unless they are adding MUCH better ammenities including alcohol, better parking, more club seats, etc. TV is changing everything, and there aren't going to be sold out stadiums of 100k+ much in the future unless something changes.
imho.

I think that is exactly what they're doing. I wish we would have done more of the on the south side and not just thrown up and giant end zone as fast as possible. I'm not talking west side nice. If all 4 sides were what the west side is going to be it would be hands down the nicest stadium in the world. I'm talking some chair backs, a decent club, and maybe a few more portals to the concourse.

Yeah overall our expansion is going to be disapointing in the long run I think.
I was at the LSU game this year, and the 3rd deck of the south EZ was maybe 10% full. The rush to add bleacher seats is going to bite us in the arse. I was one of the few on TA back before we decided on expansion that thought we were nuts going above 100k, and I still think so.
If we had added parking, redesigned the tailgating scene to be more centralized, or greatly improved the experience, that'd be one thing. But we added bleachers, new concessions, and no parking.

Personally, I would have topped it off at 95k.
But alas, everything with our boosters is a dick measuring contest. They can't be caught flacid, which is why we need to be bigger than Texas.

As long as we win then it'll fill up for most games.
Posted on 1/29/15 at 12:51 pm to Farmer1906
Farmer gets it. We were not great this year and still had 95+ even for our least interesting games. I think in bad years we will see the same but our proximity to Houston where a huge majority of our fans and Ags live and work is huge.
It will look bad on tv for the weak OOC opponents because of the get there late and leave early mentality. But who cares? 100+ for every game against someone with a pulse is the future (and really present) for Texas A&M

That, and the fact this isn't a renovation for next year; it's for the foreseeable future. Our graduation profile is unlike most higher eds. Classes for our older Ags had very small graduation sizes. Now we're pumping out more graduates than all save 4 or 5 universities in the entire country. Our former student profile is changing. Namely, the average age of our former students is very low compared to most, and as those students age, they'll have more income and means to buy tickets. It's simple math. The short-term economy may not appear desirable; but the overriding theme is our former student footprint; and it's growing....

It is different for us than ANYONE else but maybe Nebraska. Our huge student section eats space and seats that are filled by general admission people in other stadiums. When you consider that most major programs have a student section of around what- 10k-ish? - it becomes obvious that we do actually have a 90-ish stadium for purposes of comparison with most programs.
It won't work for anyone else though. That Ole Miss record might stand forever.

Of course, if RP and co have their way A&M will have 75k people on campus in the future so...
