going by stats - Manziel

while his stats may have been more impressive, he was not more impressive

Cam did things in 2010 that none of the other guys listed could have done.

None of them. Cam is the closest to it but he lags behind such talents as Brady, Manning and Rogers just in the league currently. Since we're talking talent then Cam would be ahead of them all but the menatl part has to factor in there especially at QB so he falls back.

How long is a generation in this sense? We talking 10, 20, 30 years or what? I'm 36 and the best talent of my generation at QB, imo , is Peyton when considering arm talent and brains though I think Rodgers and Newton are both beter natural talents. In a sense qb is the hardest to peg a "best of a generation talent" because the better pure talents usually don't do as well as the best do. No one would put Brady or Brees on a best natural talent list because their games are predicated on intelligence, system and accuracy not god given natural physical talent. Montana was the same

I'm inclined to go with this but I'd like more time to see if these new style QBs become the "thing" or if JFF was really that much of a special freak of nature.

A generation refers to about a 20 year time frame. There are college players with older kids than Peyton Manning.

I don't like the guy personally, but he's the best football player of this generation.

None of them really are generational talents, including Peyton. He struggled in the biggest games.

Can the Honey Badger be put up for debate?

At the college level, he was the most explosive player I've ever seen.
