That easily explains the defense, but your offense isn't good, even 100% healthy. Needs improvement.

You guys said the same thing about Bama a few years ago that you now say about Tennessee. The Vols are the second winningest team in the SEC. They'll be back.

What's wrong with that? UT is in a historically bad period for their program, but don't be fooled into thinking it'll last forever. Hell look at bama from 03-07. Or Florida from 03-05.
I know UT has gone a few years past those others, but they are still the 2nd most storied program in SEC history. All it'll take is them getting a good coach (which they may have already) and they'll be back.
Missouri, on the other hand, is likely in their heyday. You're fooling yourself if you think they're going to compete for the east every year.

You do realize the east was down this year right? Its not like Mizzou blew past traditional powerhouses like Florida, Georgia and Tennessee when they are at their best. I think the question should be can Mizzou ever challenge the might of a healthy Georgia and Florida.

EVeryone knows this, but whenever it's brought up you are "making excuses" and "injuries happen everywhere, build your depth up", etc.
-UF had their worst year since the 1970s
-UT has a first year head coach and is in the midst of their worst stretch in program history.
-UGA had unprecedented injuries and even lost to lowly vanderbilt (but beat top 10 SC and LSU when healthy)
Those trends aren't the norm, by far. Missouri should embrace this season and remember it fondly, because if you're talking about a full strength UF, UGA, and UT..missouri will be on the outside looking in 90% of the time.

Nice troll but a healthy Georgia will usually take down a healthy Missouri. It's been cited plenty but we were down: our 2 starting RB's, 3 starting receivers and a Safety when we played Missouri this season. And if you check the box score of that game we lost due to 4 TO's. We had: more first downs, more rushing yardage and more passing yardage than did Missouri in that game in spite of a depleted offense. LINK

He gone.
A) It's Connor Shaw.
B) He was basically on life support when he took over for Thompson. You admit he single-handedly beat you. Think about that for a moment....a QB that was puking his guts out, injured, injured, oh...and injured, beat y'all SINGLE-HANDEDLY according to your theory.
C) We will surely miss Connor, but we have Dylan Thompson, Conner Mitch and Brendan Nosovitch lined up. More than likely the starter won't be Thompson from what I'm hearing, but it wouldn't matter if it were. We'd still wax that arse and we will when the time comes.
D) Thank you, sincerely, for the laugh. I needed it on this rainy morning.
E) DOOOOIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKK!!!!

I guess it's easy to look past Tenn when you haven't lost to them in more than a decade.

To be fair you only play them like once every 4 years or so though right?

You do realize how God-awful the East was this year, right?

I'm being fair. Tenn isn't what they once were. Until they turn it around that is a true statement. They have had a decade of stagnation. I know one day they will turn it around but until then, they're not really on the same level as USC, UGA, Mizzou. Florida gets a year or two or the will be on Tenn's level. I don't think UF stays down, they have a recruiting goldmine in FL.

Why does everyone leave off UFs injuries which were greater in number overall? Combine that with Predictable Pease and you have a nightmare.
We ended up starting a 4th string QB based on how Mizzou counts their QBs.

Yeah I know, I was addressing your "haven't beat us in a decade" comment. It'd be like me saying ole miss hasn't beat us in 20 years..which is somewhat misleading considering we only play them every 5 or 6 years.

I think everyone on this board is astutely aware that UT has been awful for a long time. I think these other gentlemen are trying to point out that history shows us that the trend will be reversed sooner rather than later.
The programs you listed are certainly better right now, but they aren't light years ahead. I don't know if UT will make the turn in the next couple of years, but I think the recruits from last class and this current class will go a long way in making my beloved Vols a contender again as long as the coaching doesn't get in the way.

You do realize this is bullshite, right? The East was 1 game short of .500 against the west this year.

No, it's really not. What vandy and uk do is irrelevant, so look at the main players in the east. It's already been rehashed ad nauseum so I won't elaborate much more than to just say UGA, UF, and UT were all down this year, 2 of which are WAY down compared to their norm. SC had a good season, and lo and behold they beat missouri.
