Does this mean the Gumps will claim it as a Heisman victory sometime in the next 20 years?

AJ should have won it, FWIW.

I'm pretty sure the Gumps will claim him as their own Peyton Manning since he was Heisman runner-up.

Dude he finished 2nd and we were all surprised by that. Hell, he won the Maxwell, and even he was surprised.
I honestly can't see why so many posters on a message board get so pissed about it and want to bash the young man, for what?
I guess just because he played for Alabama. That's why he receives so much hate.

It was such a burn, the OP is literally

Such skill, to humor oneself to such a degree.
Who knows--seems to be a pretty weak field this year. Manzeil isn't exactly an NFL prototype, either. And Murray doesn't seem much different than AJ to me. Are there any real stud/prototype QBs coming out this year?

I like AJ, he was a real good college QB, and seems to be a pretty good kid. Anyone know what round he is projected to go in the draft?

I've seen a few references to 2nd round.
I'm sure AJ would be happy with that.
He just doesn't have the build/look of a first rounder ala Manning/Stafford.

Great Idea! Maybe we'll call it the Honkey Heisman. Top white football player for 2013. Bitches.

It only takes one team to draft a guy in the first round. That being said, he doesn't have the arm strength u like to see in a rd 1 guy. I say late second / early third. Tebow, Ponder, and Gabbert were all recent first rounders. So, anything is possible.

Well if he drops to the 3rd round (Chiefs probably won't have a second round pick with the Alex Smith trade) would love to see the Chiefs draft him. He's a smart QB and has decent enough arm strength to be a good QB in the pros.

New, creative, and hilarious joke. Glad you could laugh at yourself so easily.
