Man its good to see Wooten step it up this year, as its his last. If you follow high school recruiting then its tough to see highly recruited (or ranked) guys for your team not pan out. I remember I Troupe and how good he was suppose to be, but he never really got a chance to prove himself, atleast in real games. L Gray was another guy. I was hoping he would get to start over J Cox, but never got a chance. I was hoping for a duel threat qb.
Well its good to see Wooten get a shot this year and step up. He has had some big plays and catches throughout the year to help us extend scoring drives and touchdowns. This is really the only yr he has really started and has done great. If not for the injuries, he wouldn't have gotten to play much probably. I'm proud of him for sticking through when we had some really good WR. Massaquoi, AJG

it honestly feels like he's been here for 8 years, but yeah I'm glad he's gotten a chance to step up, That catch in Auburn was beautiful.

He def had a big year and finished the season strong. That diving catch against AU was money

Also got a chance, threw a pick 6 and was awful. Great fair catcher of punts though

When you lose 3-4 WR's, it's nice to have a Vet out there who knows the offense. I think he will see more balls thrown his way with Mason under center. Wooten has a lot more time with Mason than Murray when the second team practices. So, he should have great chemistry with Mason the next 2 games.
Mason threw the ball well when he had chances, but he almost got McGowen's head taken off on his first drive. He desperately needed the time vs. Kentucky and that will help him this year and next! 2014 is gunna be a good year fellas!

Troupe never had it between the ears or in practice.
His tweets were downright scary.
And as far as practice goes, he got beaned in the facemask during a media viewing session. beat writers never got asked, "why isn't troupe getting game reps" after that. from what i heard, him catching it in the noggin was well received by most who witnessed it. he was a me guy who never had it.

Dude lived in my hood a couple years ago, his dumb arse dog about ripped my moron retriever in two. Needless to say I enjoyed watching him ride the pine. Guy looked like he not only had the intelligence of a log but also the personality of one.

Wooten was a big shake and bake guy in high school.
That doesnt work as well in the sec.
If you are dancing to make 1 guy miss, then you are going to get killed on backside pursuit.
He made a nice catch and run on a screen on the sideline against kentucky. that was the only time that i can remember seeing that shake and bake work in the sec.
I like him on those flag and deep post routes. He hasnt impressed me so much on underneath passes in his career.

I've always wondered how much of an effect the car accident he was in that knocked him out of the 2011 season had on his career. He may have not have panned out any different had that not happened, but I wonder if he would have ultimately developed differently/better. At very least I guess it opened the door for Mitchell and others to take his spot.

I'll always remember Wooten for the tying TD catch at Tennessee on a day when nothing went right.

Way off topic, but Dee Ford puts the crown of his helmet into Murray's ear hole on the last play of the guy.
Wanna know what I am thankful for this year?
Wagers is not officiating our game this weekend.
Saw the link above and went back to check...

That's the first time i've seen the replay of that last play.
I don't think it was a horrible hit.
But compared to 3 of our targeting penalties against us this season, the lack of a call flat out pisses me off.
Officiating is a joke.
