while Im fully aware that stats don't matter as much as people like to think, pocket passers have done well in Malzahn's offense.

I don't think it is fair to Malzahn and Todd to compare the 2009 team to the 2010 one.

i'm not saying he can't do it w/o someone like NM or Cam, but it remains to be seen.... our offense with Chris Todd was good enough for 3-5 in SEC play.

Check his offense at Tulsa. They passed all over the place bec that was the QBs strength.

I have no doubts GM can mold an offense to the QB and personnel he has available... the question is can it be championship quality?

this is a debate for somewhere else... and harris probably isn't coming anyway.

There is no debate that Gus knows more about offense than the combined brainpower of this whole AU recruiting board. He will recruit and play the athletes who will give us the best chance of winning. In Gus I trust.

Don't care what Gus has done with pocket QBs elsewhere I'm gonna have a hard time not being disappointed if we get away from having a QB that can run. It's worked pretty damn well the two times he's had that at Auburn.

If anything the game will be moved to Thursday and then it becomes does Rashaan stay at home for Jim Mora's IHV or does he go to the game?

Great free rundown episode by Hoke and JGT going in depth on Evans, recruiting, and some baseball LINK

For those that don't want to listen Hoke says Evans told the staff after the IB that he was coming to Auburn. Nothing has changed since then on that particular front.

They said they could see him pulling the trigger on Monday instead of NSD.

Our offense was good enough to average 430 yards a game. That defense was horrific though, which was a common thread in Chizik's tenure.

I think the defense's quality should be higher by '15. I'm pretty sure it will be...

I am talking about his weight wiseass. 180 is too small to to run Gus' offense. Nick is 210

Nick is one semester away from being a senior and has been in either a college or a junior college strength and conditioning program for almost 3 years.

I know its a miracle, but people grow. Dee Ford weighed 190 lbs when he reported to campus.

God forbid someone have a fricking opinion that doesn't align with yours

Sean White will be a nice college QB... he's a more polished Barrett Trotter.

According to AUR:

Rashaan was held out of school today, with plans to do so on Tuesday and Wednesday as well; being held out the rest of this week isn't out of the picture.

Bama feel's like they've closed strong, but that Auburn's still the destination.

Roc Thomas didn't visit Alabama, despite coaches offering to pick him up from school on Friday Bama getting desperate here, and Roc knows it.

I think it is funny that Gus has recruited 3 more pocket oriented quarterbacks in row with Johnson, White and Queen but yet everyone thinks he has to have a runner to win games.

Please do compare and contrast your record of scouting and signing high school QBs as compared to Gus Malzahn.

What was your success rate compared to his?
