Terrible precedents there.

The only one of that group that truly flipped was Yeldon. Even if Callaway wanted to come to AU, it wasn't going to happen. Kouandjio's decision was a family one with his brother already at 'Bama. And we lost Foster because we lost Trooper (we reportedly lost Foster and Liner because of the coaching change).

Basically Evans' whole family went to Auburn, but he didn't want to play for a loser. According to our mods, he simply wanted to see what we did this year and to see if Gus could get us back on the right track. He did that, so Evans is coming to AU.

He's actually the recruit I'm the least concerned about.

I have to agree here. Even though I think we get Evans too.

Yeah, people are reading his comments over his OV to Bama and freaking out. Evans talked about rumors about Bama had been wrong that others told him. Of course many Bama fans think that is Auburn coaches, but I think it is players like Bessent and Roberts myself. Evans says he can see himself at Bama and they can get him where he wants to go (NFL). Shocking that kid had something positive to say after an OV...

If a kid isn't signed he isn't Auburn's period. Evans may or may not come to Auburn and nothing anyone can do about that. I don't understand adults freaking out over a kid choosing a school, and comments they make to a reporter, twitter, or a photo on instagram. It is hilarious and pathetic at the same time.

Shush there, old man.

Stop being a negabarner.

I think a lot of it had to do with his precious Niners going down in flames.

He was all in a snit about Richard Sherman.

Any more news from the weekend? Those of us without big-time connections are curious.

247 article ranked how likely we get our big targets from this past weekend based on our commits comments about them.

1. Andrew Williams
-Several Commits saying they're confident we get him. Very good friends with Carl Lawson which could be important.
2. Braden Smith
-Quiet guy. Didn't do interview. Seemed to fit in well with the other guys.
3. John Bonney
-no interview. Spent most of time with the staff.
4. Godchaux
-Said everything a commit of another school should say.

Nothing that's breaking news or anything.

Godchaux is certainly a longshot, no doubt... but it's not necessarily a bad thing that a commit (especially one who's commited to his major in-state power) leaves without a bunch of bigtime publicity.

If he were going to switch (and again, it seems like a long shot) keeping things quiet and not drawing a ton of attention from back home would be the way to go about it.

I know lashlee went and saw 5* OT Prince to gauge interest. Prince visited USCe this weekend. His comments were pretty meh and the Cocks fans don't think it did much for him. Sounds like he wants to be near a bigger city and is leaning Maryland. Not sure the AU town would be for him knowing that.

I mean we are only an hour and a half drive from ATL

But in all seriousness what does a big city have to offer a college kid that AU doesn't have? (And no, strip club is not an acceptable answer)

Auburn Rivals is giving Mike Farrel hell over Sean White's ranking. What is wrong with all those crazies? Who cares what he is ranked? He's either gonna be a stud at AU or he won't the ranking doesn't matter.

I have no contribution whatsoever to this thread but I just want to say thanks to the guys that put all of this together each year. I am a typical guy that only monitors recruiting during the season and this 1 month prior to NSD - this thread and most of its discussion always helps me keep track of everything. Thanks

you've come to the wrong place... god forbid anyone think white is not a top 5 QB nationally.

We'll know soon enough when Jeremy's eligibility runs out in 2017.
